Hampton Park Library, Forsyth County’s Newest Library

I recently visited the Hampton Park Library with my girls for the first time and I was impressed. It is a beautiful new facility with a wonderful children’s area. It is warm and open, well marked to find any section of the library. There is plenty of comfortable seating and everything – books, movies, music – is brand new. I recommend visiting it with your family! They recently announced some new programs – I signed up for the newsletter to keep informed.

Hampton ParkThe Hampton Park Library, located at 5345 Settingdown Road, is now open. The 23,000 square foot facility features 60,000 items for checkout, computer stations, children’s programs, and more.

Group Coupon Sites for Extra Deals in Atlanta, GA

I am just learning of these neat sites that offer group coupon deals. Some are in Atlanta, but some reach North Atlanta so I wanted to share. Any time we can save extra money, I’m there!

Here are a few to check out: Groupon, Scoutmob, Half Off Depot and Living Social. Coupsicle is a great local coupon site that targets North Atlanta. Great news for all of us in this area including Forsyth County, Cherokee County, Cobb County and more! North Georgia Deals is also worth checking out.

The Dealmap has an iPhone app and web site where you can search for local deals. Plum District is also a great deal seeking web site.

Sue Rodman from Field Trips with Sue recently posted about a new family deals site Juice in the City. What a great concept. All of these sites will help us save money! FamGrab is a new one that popped up recently. And go here to track all of the Atlanta Deal Sites.

Here is an article about group coupon sites and how they are growing in cities in the US. Happy shopping!

Cumming Farmers Market at the Cumming, GA Fairgrounds

I visited the Cumming Farmers Market today at the Cumming, GA fairgrounds. It is running Wednesday and Saturday mornings in the parking lot through October 2. I met some really nice people and bought sunflowers, tomatoes, new potatoes, squash, Japanese BBQ sauce and banana bread. I sampled roasted pumpkin seeds and there were lots of other tasty goods available. The food was fresh and the people were very friendly and I will definitely go back!
