The weekend is here! And it’s Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A! Wear a cow hat for a free entree or dress in a cow costume for a free meal! Here is a roundup of what is going on in the area this weekend.

Friday, July 8

Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A!

Dog park opens today at Fowler Park!

10:00 am – Warbington Farms celebrates Cow Appreciation Day – What better way to spend Cow Appreciation Day than on a working farm. Join Warbington Farms as we celebrate our love for our cows on July 8th and 9th, 2011. We will play cow games, do cow crafts, take a “hey”ride to feed the cows, and read cow stories. Activities begin at 10 am with the “hey”ride leaving at 11 am for cow-feeding and storytime. Come dressed like a cow and receive a free cup of feed for the cow-feeding. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a true day in the country while celebrating your love for COWS!!! $5 for kids. Includes: Storytime, “Hey”ride, Cow Crafts, Cow Games, Cow Print Face Painting – $4 for adult “hey”ride – RSVP to Delana at 404-983-6945 or delana@warbingtonfarms.com

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Brookwood Farmers Market – pick up fresh produce, support local growers and have fun on this Friday afternoon festivity.

Saturday, July 9

7:00 am – 12:00 pm – Cumming Farmers Market – meet some neat local neighbors, buy some flowers and see what’s in season at this lovely market. Located in the Cumming Fairgrounds parking lot.

10:00 am – Lowe’s Build and Grow – build a tow truck with your little ones and see their faces light up as they see the project come together.
