Weekend Events in Cumming, GA from 12/9 – 12/11/11

Friday, 12/9

4:00 pm – 10:oo pm – Christmas in Cumming at the Cumming Fairgrounds. Arts & Crafts Festival, Free Photos with Santa, Hay Rides & more. Events start at 4pm on Friday and at 10am on Saturday at the Cumming Fairgrounds.

7:00 pm – Special Story Time – Barnes & Noble at The Avenue Forsyth – Enjoy storytime with the book, “A Polar Express” and Forsyth Central High School White Christmas.

Saturday, 12/10

10:00 am – 5:00 pm – Christmas in Cumming at the Cumming Fairgrounds. Arts & Crafts Festival, Free Photos with Santa, Hay Rides & more.

10:00 am – Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic – Build a coal car!

11:00 am – 3:00 pm – Rucker Horse & Pet – Pet pictures with Santa! Santa is making a visit to Cumming, so bring your pet(s) to have a photo taken with the Jolly Old Elf himself!  Santa will be at Rucker Horse & Pet, 3540 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming 30041 on Saturday, December 3 — and at Rucker Pet & Wild Bird, 5456 Bethelview Road, Cumming 30040 on Saturday, December 10.  Photo hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $7.00 for two photos.  Please bring cash or check! All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Forsyth County No-Kill Shelter.

11:00 am – Story time – Barnes & Noble at The Avenue Forsyth – Story time featuring holidays around the world!

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Dinner with Santa, Cumming Kiwanis Club- 417 Pilgrim Mill Rd, Cumming 30040. Bring your camera and get the perfect shot of your child with Santa and have dinner. The event is free and for everyone, we do ask for a donation of at least $5 per child- more is appreciated. All proceeds go to our program to help feed the horses during the winter and to keep them warm and healthy throughout the winter. This event is not just for kids with special needs- it is for everyone!

Sunday, 12/11

11:30 am – 4:00 pm – Old Fashioned Christmas at the Farm – Holiday fun for the whole family! Free parking and admission! Sleigh rides, pony rides, petting zoo, plate lunches, face painting, crafts, games for kids of all ages, photos with our “Santa” horse, yummy homemade baked goods, raffle prizes, cake walk, bonfire and marshmallows, a special angel tree, a visit from the big ‘ole jolly man himself…Santa! Proceeds benefit www.savethehorses.org. Horse rescue, relief and retirement fund, inc. Improving the quality of life for all horses. Sunday, Dec. 11 from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
