Friday, May 4

6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Michael’s Mother’s Day Frame. Make-It Take-It with purchase of frame or words.

Saturday, May 5

9:00 am – 12:00 pm Home Depot’s Free Kids Workshop – Kids can build a planter box and add plants for a touch of color.

9:00 am – 2:00 pm – Kelly Mill Elementary 5K Fun Run and Family Fun Day, Fun Day begins after the races and runs from 9am – 2pm. 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Michael’s Mother’s Day Butterfly Card. Free Make-It Take-It.

10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Stars & Strikes Spring Festival Family Fun Day – Indoor Specials: $2 bowling for non-cosmic lanes $3 bowling VIP $2 Laser Tag, Bumper Cars & Shoe Rental $2 Food Specials. Outdoor Fun: Local Vendors FREE inflatables, Face Painting & Temporary Tattoo Carnival Games, Entertainment, Prizes.

10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Classic Car & Truck Show – West Forsyth High School, 4155 Drew Road Cumming 30040. Join Castleberry Road Baptist Church for our 2nd annual Classic Car & Truck Show. For the car Enthusiast: $15 per Entry Awards: Overall People’s Choice, Best in Show and Most Original. For the general public: hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks. Music, Raffles and lots of awesome cars and trucks.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Avenue Forsyth story time. It’s time for A Very Fairy Princess Party! Come join us for a fun party celebration with lots of wonderful stories, crafts and much, much more!

Sunday, May 6
12:00 pm – 4:00 pm “Cars For Canines” fundraiser returns in the parking lot at Rucker Pet and Wild Bird at 5456 Bethelview Road, Cumming, GA 30040. The festivities include a car show, pet adoptions, great food and a silent auction.
Forsyth Firefighters Fundraiser:
Beginning this Saturday, May 5 and the following two Saturdays, May 12 and 19, motorists can expect to see local firefighters at intersections throughout the county collecting donations. The annual ‘Give Burns the Boot’ kicks off this weekend in Forsyth County and across Georgia.
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful invites everyone to continue their spring cleaning by recycling their old, unused electronics during the “E-Recycle” event on Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cumming Fairgrounds’ parking lot 3 off of Castleberry Road. Accepted items for recycling include laptops, stereos, CD players, cell phones, microwaves, cameras and more. The minimum donation per carload drop-off is $5 while an additional $10 fee will apply for all televisions.
