Friday, July 6

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Brookwood Farmers Market  – At a new location this year – Caney Creek Preserve. Lots of fun activities for the kids, fresh produce, unique crafts, musical entertainment and more!

5:00 pm – Mellow Mushroom at The Avenue Forsyth – Family Fun Fridays. For the kids: Balloon Art at 5 PM, Medium Cheese Pizza $10, $3 Mel’s Kids Floats. For the Adults: Live music at 7:30 PM.

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Sweet & Sassy at The Avenue Forsyth – Girls Night Out! To make a reservation, call 770-781-0300.

Saturday, July 7

7:00 am – Noon – Cumming Fairgrounds Farmer’s Market. Support local farmers and enjoy fresh produce, tasty baked goods and other neat finds.

10:00 am Home Depot Workshop – Kids can build their very own working moving truck!

10:00 AM – Hampton Park Library – Summer Showcase–Tracy Walker, Storyteller 

11:00 am – 3:00 pm – Every Saturday is “Pet Adoption Day” at Petco, 2345 Market Place Boulevard, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble storytime at The Avenues Forsyth – It’s summer time! Come join us as we read stories all about the beach! Our featured title will be Marcel the Shell by Jenny Slate. Great for ages 4 and up!

11:00 am – Quarter Midget Racing – Cumming Fairgrounds -The North Georgia Quarter Midget Association welcomes you and your family to come out and watch the races. Admission is free; we have concessions and plenty of excitement for the whole family. Quarter Midget Racing is a family oriented sport for children ages 5 to 16. Children race in Quarter Midget cars that are a scaled-down (approximately 1/4 scale) version of an actual midget-racecar on oval tracks that are approximately 1/20th of a mile.

11:30 AM – Cumming Library – Summer Showcase–Tracy Walker, Storyteller 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Michaels Passport to Imagination – North Pole. It’s Christmas in July as you decorate a clothespin and penguin foam visor (with purchase.)

1:30 PM – Sharon Forks Library – Summer Showcase–Lee Bryan, “That Puppet Guy” 

2:30 PM – Hampton Park Library – FCPL Teen Cinema
