Friday, August 10

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Brookwood Farmers Market  – At a new location this year – Caney Creek Preserve. Lots of fun activities for the kids, fresh produce, unique crafts, musical entertainment and more!

5:00 pm – Mellow Mushroom at The Avenue Forsyth – Family Fun Friday. For the kids: Balloon Art at 5 PM, Medium Cheese Pizza $10, $3 Mel’s Kids Floats. For the Adults: Live music at 7:30 PM.

Saturday, August 11

7:00 am – Noon – Cumming Fairgrounds Farmer’s Market. Support local farmers and enjoy fresh produce, tasty baked goods and other neat finds.

10:00 am — Lowe’s Build and Grow workshop – build a Shrek dragon ride! Shrek and Donkey are flying into Lowe’s this week! Bring your child to Lowe’s and they can build Shrek’s Dragon Ride!

11:00 am – 3:00 pm – The Avenue Forsyth – Angels Among Us Pet Adoption. Find the right dog for you at The Avenue. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue will be hosting pet adoptions in the Park next to Coldwater Creek.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble storytime at The Avenues Forsyth. Do you like Bears? Then this is the Storytime for you! Join us as we lots of fun stories all about The Berenstain Bears. Great for all ages!

Saturday 8/11 9:00 am – MOTORCYCLE RIDE – Griffin & Jake Prince RUMBLE IN THE STREETS Memorial Ride & Classic Car Cruise-In

Starts at Lumpkin County Courthouse (325 Riley Rd) and ends at Dawsonville City Hall (415 Hwy 53 E)

A 70 mile police escorted ride starting in Dahlonega and moving through the streets of Gainesville, Cumming, and ending in Dawsonville at Dawsonville City Hall. The World Famous Pool Room will provide food & drink after the ride for $10 a plate. The Brian Jarrett Band will perform and we will be selling 50/50 Raffle tickets. We will also have a Cruise-In for Classic Cars from 1-4p. All proceeds benefit the Griffin & Jake Prince Memorial Fund.
