Pick a Pumpkin in Forsyth County, GA

For years we have been going to Kinsey Family Farm to pick out our annual pumpkin. In the past, we ventured out to Burt’s and other North Georgia pumpkin farms but with small children, we decided to stay local and support a local family business.

The farm features hayrides, goats and fish to feed among other fun things. There are picnic tables if you would like to bring a picnic lunch. They also have a 25,000 square foot nursery and during the holidays you can pick out a Christmas tree.

The farm is open every day in October and features a wide variety of pumpkins as well as apples, gourds, corn stalks, indian corn, straw bales, and much more! We had our daughter’s birthday party there and it was a wonderful time.

September 15 – Oct. 31, 2011, Monday – Friday 10 – 5 pm, Sat./Sundays 9 – 6 pm
Hayrides are $2 per person. Fish food $1
Hayrides, apple cannons, fish feeding, pumpkins and fall harvest crops. There is also a brand new animal pavilion so you can feed the farm animals! Hayrides during the week happen at the top of the hour – there are field trips in the morning as well.
