11:15 am – Hampton Park Library – Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!  Take your hats off to Dr. Seuss at a 25-minute program featuring Seussical stories, songs, movement activities, a puppet show AND a visit from the Cat in the Hat.  Suggested for ages 2 to 5 years, with a caregiver.  No registration is necessary for these free programs.

3/23 – 9:00 am – 2:00 pm – Food Allergy Kids of Atlanta Allergy-Friendly Easter Egg Hunt– my daughter has food allergies, so I am posting this special toy-filled Easter egg hunt which is in Roswell, GA. Garrard Landing Park, Roswell, GA – Nestled on the beautiful Chattahoochee River! Please RSVP by email if you will be attending – you need to be a member of FAKA and membership is free. Volunteers are needed for the event.

3/30 – 11:00 am – 6:00 pm – Taste of Forsyth 2013 – Cumming Fairgrounds – Taste of Forsyth will be in full swing celebrating 10 years at the City of Cumming Fairgrounds.  Plan to sample from over 25 restaurants (price ranges from $1 – $4) with over 10,000 of your family and friends.  Located 40 miles North of Atlanta the Taste of Forsyth is a great community event with music, kid’s zone, local entertainment, touch-a-truck and much more.  Easter egg hunts by age group starting at 11:30 (ages 3 and under), 12:30 (ages 4-7) and 1:30 pm (ages 8-10).

3/30 12:30 pm Easter event fundraiser at Save The Horses. Here is the flyer. This is a fundraiser event and proceeds go towards helping the abused and injured horses. Plant a tree in Forsyth this Arbor Day. Celebrate Georgia Arbor Day by planting a free red bud or red cedar seedling from Keep Forsyth County Beautiful.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, a limited number of free tree seedlings will be available while supplies last at the three Forsyth County Convenience Centers:
