Daffodil blooms are sprouting everywhere and Valentines are on our minds as we prepare for school Valentine’s Day parties, Father – Daughter dances and more. Here is a roundup of fun Valentine weekend fun.

Food for Thought Pickup! For those families donating food for Food for Thought, Saturday is pick up day! Have your orange bag out on your porch by 9:00 am

10:00 am – Lowe’s Build and Grow. Wheel of Love. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Bring your child to Lowe’s and they can build this special Wheel of Love!

10:15 am – Hampton Park Library – Books & Babies Program. Books & Babies is a baby storytime specifically designed to promote babies’ physical, social, and mental development. At baby storytime we’ll sing songs, learn interactive rhymes, and read books that are specifically tailored to babies’ developmental needs. Advance registration is required.

10:00 am – 11:30 am- Michaels Kids Club - VALENTINE’S PARTY HEART LOVE BUG BAG, 10AM – 11:30AM, on the 1/2 hour. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10AM – 11:30AM. See a store associate to join the fun!

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble special Valentine’s Day story time.

11:15 am – Cumming Library – Ready Reading Rangers Rocking Robots storytime. Fun stories, songs and activities for ages 4 – 6.

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Sharon Forks Library - Paper Sack Scrapbook Valentine’s Program. For grades 5 and up. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by creating a paper sack scrapbook and filling it with everything you love! Registration required.

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Arby’s New Look Remodel Celebration – 15% sales to go The Place, bring the kids for a little clowning around and register to win an IPAD.

2:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Duct Tape Roses Teen Valentine’s Program at Hampton Park Library. Grades 6 and up – registration is required. Make long-lasting duct tape roses!

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Sweet & Sassy – Valentine’s Girls Night Out this Saturday! Call to save your spot today! 770-781-0300. Valentine’s hair, makeup and nails, pizza, decorate cookies, runway show and ride in a limo! $30.00 per girl.

Sunday, February 10

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm - Prom with a Purpose – or Dresses Make a Difference – formal dress consignment sale, proceeds go to children with cancer. Windermere Lodge, 4463 Village Center Ln, Cumming, GA 30041.
