In like a lion, March is here! There is a cold front coming this weekend, so spring is still a few weeks away. Bundle up and see what’s happening in Forsyth County, GA this weekend!

Friday, March 1

11:15 am – Hampton Park Library - Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!  Take your hats off to Dr. Seuss at a 25-minute program featuring Seussical stories, songs, movement activities, a puppet show AND a visit from the Cat in the Hat.  Suggested for ages 2 to 5 years, with a caregiver.  No registration is necessary for these free programs.

Saturday, March 2

9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Home Depot Kids Workshop – Build a race car! FREE hands-on workshops designed for children ages 5 – 12 offered the 1st Saturday of every month at all The Home Depot stores between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment. All kids get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement

10:00 am – 11:30 am – Michaels Kids Club. NEA’s Read Across America. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10AM – 11:30AM. See a store associate to join the fun!

10:30 am – Parsons Gifts - Spring decorating seminar with refreshments.

11:15 am – Cumming Library - Rhyming the Roost With Dr. Seuss–Special Family Storytime - Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a family program, especially  for ages 4 years and older, featuring Green Eggs and Ham and Dr. Seuss readalikes. Add lively songs, a puppet show, and a visit from the Cat in the Hat for 45 minutes of fun that will leave you smiling all day long.  There’s no need to register for these free programs.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble Storytime at The Avenue Forsyth – Disney friends story time.

Sunday, March 3

11:00 am – 3:30 pm - Rucker Horse and Pet, 3540 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming, GA – The Raptors are coming! The Amicalola Rehabilitation Representative will be bringing some of these amazing birds to our store location for a day of education and photography!  Bring a camera!

March 2 & March 3 - 10:00 am – 5:00 pm – North Georgia Zoo and Petting Zoo - Bouncing Baby Days. See over 40 new baby animals that have been born! Petting zoo $7 adult $5 child (2-11 & 55+), Wildlife walk $15/$13, Camel Encounter $5, Reptile Encounter $5.
