Weekend Events for Cumming, GA for March 29 – March 31, 2013

IMG_3626Spring and the Easter holiday is here! There are lots of fun things to do this weekend in Forsyth County, GA. Here is a round up of Easter egg hunts in the area. If you know of any other events, please comment and share!

I also wanted to note that I listed the Easter Egg Hunt for Babyland General on the wrong date – it was last weekend. I apologize for the inconvenience. They have a fun Cabbage Patch Kids Tea Party on April 13, 2013. Reservations are required.

Friday, March 29

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Sweet & Sassy girls night out, Sweet and Sassy – Cumming, GA – Bring your sassy diva and she will become a rockin popstar! Or do you have a sweet princess? On March 30th from 5pm-8pm, your princess can join with other princesses and throw a ball! There are still a few spots available, call now to book! (770) 781-0300.

Saturday, March 30

9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Egg Hunt at 10:00 am – Stars & Strikes Easter Egg Hunt – prize-filled easter egg hunt for kids 2-12, $20 game cards for $13, fun games prizes and more!

10:00 am – 11:30 am on the half hour – Michaels Kids Club – Hatching Chick – Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10AM – 11:30AM. See a store associate to join the fun!

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble storytime at The Avenue Forsyth. Come join us as we go on a adventure in outer space. We will read lots of fun stories. Great for ages 7 and under.

11:00 am – 6:00 pm – Taste of Forsyth will be in full swing celebrating 10 years on Saturday March 30 at the City of Cumming Fairgrounds.  Plan to sample from over 25 restaurants with over 10,000 of your family and friends.  Located 40 miles North of Atlanta nestled up to Lake Lanier the Taste of Forsyth is a great community event with music, kids zone, local entertainment, touch-a-truck and much more.  We will see you at the Taste of Forsyth on from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., bon appetite!! Easter egg hunts by age group starting at 11:30 (ages 3 and under), 12:30 (ages 4-7) and 1:30 pm (ages 8-10).

12:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Free pictures with the Easter Bunny at The Avenue Forsyth! Atlanta Diamond Design, suite 120 (next to Cheeky) Bring the whole family (and your camera) to this FREE event. We’ll have treats and crafts for the kids, too.

12:30 pm – 4:00 pm – SaveTheHorses.org is having a fun-raiser to support the rescued horses and the Barn Buddy Program for foster children from 12:30 until 4 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to go on an Easter Egg Hunt starting promptly at 2 p.m. There is a $5 admission charge to cover the cost of eggs and candy and free parking. 1786 Newt Green Road, Cumming, GA.

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Christ Community Church – Easter Eggstravaganza and Health Fair. We’ll have egg hunts with 30,000 Candy Eggs. Admittance is free. We will have three Candy Egg Hunts (3 age groups) with Prizes, Inflatables, Safari Petting Zoo, Carnival Ride, Health Fair, Red Cross Blood Drive, Giveaways, food by Slopes BBQ, the Easter Bunny, and more!

3:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Swim Kids of GA – Egg-stra Cool UNDER THE SEA EGG HUNT! Grab a suit and towel and join us in the 90 degree HEATED POOL to spash around and grab some eggs!  We will be swimming for eggs starting at 4:00 and will be egg-hunting by age in small groups.  Parents of non-swimmers will need to suit up and join their child for some egg-citing fun in the pool! 1501 Redi Road, Cumming, GA.
