10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Scarecrow Festival at Bethelview UMC – Admission is FREE for everyone!  Parking is just $2 per vehicle but if you support our Food Drive and donate canned goods or non-perishables, you park FREE! Located at: 4525 Bethelview Road, Cumming, GA 30040.

12:00 pm – 4:00 pm – St. Brendan’s Catholic Church Trunk or Treat & Halloween Party. Trunk or treating is a safe and unique way to trick or treat by going “trunk to trunk” in a family friendly, festive atmosphere.  We will also have hayrides, silent auction, inflatables, face painting, games and lunch.  All ages are invited to attend and costumes are welcome.  For more information contact Jodi Brock at 770-207-7969 ext. 20.

Sunday, October 20

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Castleberry Road Baptist Church Fall Festival – Please mark your calendars for our First Fall Festival we are hosting for our community.  We will have an evening of family fun and excitement as we bring in multiple bouncey houses, games, food, and fun for the entire family.  Please make sure to join us on Sunday evening October 20th. Castleberry Road Baptist Church is located at: 7225 Castleberry Road Cumming, GA 30040 (770) 889-2422.

Wednesday, October 23

5:30 pm – 7:00 pm – Cumming Baptist – 115 Church Street, Cumming, GA 30040 – Fall festival trunk or treat. A great night of fun for the season. Food, music, games, and inflatables will provide joy for all families. The night will end with our Trunk ‘R’ Treat – an awesome display of clever car decorations. Enjoy the costumes,the creativity and, of course, the candy!

Saturday, October 26

10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Red Door Festival – Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. Our annual community-wide event, with events including: a British car show, real smoked Bar-B-Q, games for the kids, live entertainment, arts and crafts… and more! All proceeds benefit our non-food pantry and other church ministries. Located at 724 Pilgrim Mill Road, Cumming GA 30040.

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Creekside Methodist Church, 673 Peachtree Parkway – Cumming, GA 30041 – 770-888-8449 – Trunk or Treat!
Drag out those old boots, don your wigs, decorate your car/trailer/bike/van etc., and bring a bucket of candy to share & come out for a time of family fun. Awards will be given for the best costumes and vehicles. (Please, no scary/inappropriate costumes/decorations.) Our Trailblazers will be selling Baked Goods, Hot Dogs & Drinks so come hungry!

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm – “The Great Pumpkin – Carving A Night of Fun.”  at Cumming First United Methodist Church. The event, which costs $10 per family, will include a hot dog supper, s’mores and popcorn. There also will be a “punkin chunkin” contest, jack-o-lantern carving, hayrides and a viewing of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” on an inflatable, outdoor screen. 770 Canton Highway, Cumming, GA.

6:00 pm to 9:00 p.m – Trunk or Treat Safety Event at Coal Mountain Park. Admission is one bag of candy per family. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the family-friendly Trunk or Treat, which will feature a haunted maze, bean bag toss, face painting, clowns and other fun activities and games. There will also be information on costume safety, pedestrian safety, stranger danger, Stop-Drop-Roll demonstrations, and more.

Wednesday, October 30

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Trunk or Treat – City on a Hill Church – Costumes welcome (nothing scary), bounce house, games, candy, food, free – all ages welcome! 1645 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, GA 30040. For information, call 770-889-6919.

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Fall Family Festival and Trunk or Treat at Concord Baptist Church. Games, inflatables, trunk or treat, cake walk, face painting, hayrides and much more! Located at 6906 Concord Road, Cumming, GA 30028.

Thursday, October 31

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (7:00 pm Publix) Along with Publix at Hammonds Crossing, the following businesses will be offering Trick or Treating. Come join Uniquely Inspired Paint Pottery & More Studio, Laredo Mexican Restuarant, Johnny’s Pizza, The UPS Store, Causey Orthodontics, State Farm, Wellness for Life Chiropractic, Esquite Cleaners and Verizon Wireless. Look for the orange flyer in the windows and show off your costume while enjoying a safe, but fun Halloween outing.

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – North Georgia Premium Outlets – Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event. Trick-or-Treating for kids in costume ages 13 and under. Pick up a list of participating stores from the Information Center in the Food Court.

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – First Redeemer Church – Fall family fun festival. Annual Fall Family Fun Festival with games and activities for children of all ages. There will be plenty of candy and children are encouraged to come dressed in kid-friendly costumes. Admission is one bag of individually wrapped candy. 2100 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA 30041.

6:30 pm – 8:00 pm – Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church 5210 Pisgah Rd, Cumming, GA 30040 – will have its Trunk or Treat from 6:30 pm – 8:00 p.m. Oct 31. There will be music, costume contests, games and more. For more information, go online at www.mtpisgahbaptistchurch.org or call (706) 216-6514.

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Antioch Baptist Church 2465 Antioch Road, Cumming, Georgia – will have a Trunk or Treat event from 7:00 pm – 9:00 p.m. Oct. 31. There will be free snacks, candy and marshmallow roasting. For more information, call (678) 910-8688.

HAUNTED HOUSES IN FORSYTH COUNTY, GA

Hayes Haunt, 7435 Cavaletti Circle, Cumming, GA 30040. Friday and Saturday nights, including Oct. 18, 19, 25, 26 and 31, and an encore Nov. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 per person (proceeds go to The Place of Forsyth.) For sensitive guests, “a protective amulet, magical talisman if you will, may be purchased and worn to ward off the monsters for a ‘Hayes Haunt Light’ experience,” according to hayeshaunt.com. Allow 15 to 20 minutes to walk through the haunt.

TRICK OR TREAT EVENTS NEAR FORSYTH COUNTY, GA

Trick or Treat Dahlonega – Ghosts, goblins, witches, wizards and more will be wandering the streets of Downtown Dahlonega on October 31st, 2013 at Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega. This event, brought to the community by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants, provides a safe environment for parents to bring children trick or treating during daylight hours. The event will take place on Thursday, October 31st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, rain or shine. Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega is intended for children ages 12 and under and appropriate costumumes are appreciated! For safety reasons, the roads will be closed and re-routed during the event.
