pumpkinFor those of you who enjoy a good scare, here are some local haunts to visit in Forsyth County, GA for Halloween fun.

Hayes Haunt – 7435 Cavaletti Circle, Cumming, Georgia  30040. Friday and Saturday nights, including Oct. 18, 19, 25, 26 and 31, and an encore Nov. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 per person (proceeds go to The Place of Forsyth.) Allow 15 to 20 minutes to walk through the haunt.

Admission is $5.00 and for timid guests, a special protective amulet is available for purchase to ward off the monsters for a Hayes Haunt Light experience. *No public bathroom, so make sure you go before you go!

4th Annual Haunted Forest – The Calhoun’s 7830 Rose Court Cumming GA 30040, Walnut Grove Subdivision! Friday October 25th and October 26th from 7pm to 10pm. Admission is free but we will be accepting donations for a charity called Opportunity Camp. www.opportunitycamp.org. We will have small heaters throughout the haunt and will be selling hot chocolate to keep you warm. Haunted Corn Maze

Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch Final Haunted Hike Nights: Come out at night if you dare and weave your way by the light of the moon through the Haunted Maze. Dusk and darkness cast a spooky spell on one dedicated trail at Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch.  Follow the trail past a graveyard, various ghosts and goblins. And all for a good cause, since a portion of the admission to the Haunted Maze is donated to Dawson County High School.  Admission is $13 for the Haunted Maze, or $16 for the Value Combo (Hayride Plus the Haunted Maze). Haunts begin at dusk on the dates listed below and the last ticket sold at 10 p.m. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent. Regular maze trails are open during haunt season as well.

Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is celebrating its 12th fall season, offering hay rides, evening bonfires, kid’s soybean maze, climbing goats and of course the mega maze. Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is open daily in October, and weekends in November through the 24th.  After Halloween, the maze complex is open weekends in November through the 24th!  The evening hay rides along the Etowah River are so much fun…you get dropped off at the bonfire area with marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers! Ticket prices are the same as 2012 (excluding taxes) –   adults are $10 for the corn maze and $5 for the hay ride; maze admission is free for children four and under. www.uncleshucks.com
