Halloween Events for Cumming, GA for Week of October 28, 2013

pumpkinHalloween is upon us! Here are some fun and spooky Halloween events in and around Forsyth County, GA this week as we celebrate.

There are story times all week at the Forsyth County Public Library. Check out their calendar!

Tuesday, October 29

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble storytime at The Collection Forsyth. Join us for a fun Storytime filled with stories all about Halloween! Great for all ages!

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Chick-fil-a Lanier Crossing – Chick or TREAT costume party on Tuesday, October 29 from 6-8PM. All kids dressed in costume will receive a FREE kids meal. There will be some special guest, maybe your favorite super hero, princess or pirate. Fun food treats and crafts. Don’t miss it!

Wednesday, October 30

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Trunk or Treat – City on a Hill Church – Costumes welcome (nothing scary), bounce house, games, candy, food, free – all ages welcome! 1645 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, GA 30040. For information, call 770-889-6919.

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Fall Family Festival and Trunk or Treat at Concord Baptist Church. Games, inflatables, trunk or treat, cake walk, face painting, hayrides and much more! Located at 6906 Concord Road, Cumming, GA 30028.

Thursday, October 31

7:00 am – 10:00 pm – Free Kids Scary Face Pancake at IHOP – Trick or treat, give kids something free to eat this Halloween! On Thursday, October 31st, from 7:00AM-10:00PM, all kids 12 and under receive a free Scary Face Pancake! One per child. Dine in only. Available at participating restaurants. 10:30 am – 10:30 pm – Kids in costume eat free at Beef O’Brady’s at 2619 Freedom Parkway in Cumming, GA. One free kids meal per purchase of adult entree.

Carrabba’s – $5 pizzas on Halloween! Make dinner on Halloween simple. Pick up a pizza for only $5 and for $5 more you can get an Italian Salad for two! http://carrabb.as/1gWckfN Valid on 10/31/13 only. 24 hour notice needed for orders of more than 5 pizzas.

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (7:00 pm Publix) Along with Publix at Hammonds Crossing, the following businesses will be offering Trick or Treating. Come join Uniquely Inspired Paint Pottery & More Studio, Laredo Mexican Restuarant, Johnny’s Pizza, The UPS Store, Causey Orthodontics, State Farm, Wellness for Life Chiropractic, Esquite Cleaners and Verizon Wireless. Look for the orange flyer in the windows and show off your costume while enjoying a safe, but fun Halloween outing.

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – North Georgia Premium Outlets – Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event. Trick-or-Treating for kids in costume ages 13 and under. Pick up a list of participating stores from the Information Center in the Food Court.

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Trunk or Treat at North Forsyth High School. Come dressed in your favorite costume! All children 12 and under may attend the event!!!! 3655 Coal Mountain Drive, Cumming, GA 30028.

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – First Redeemer Church – Fall family fun festival. Annual Fall Family Fun Festival with games and activities for children of all ages. There will be plenty of candy and children are encouraged to come dressed in kid-friendly costumes. Admission is one bag of individually wrapped candy. 2100 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA 30041.

6:30 pm – 8:00 pm – Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church 5210 Pisgah Rd, Cumming, GA 30040 – will have its Trunk or Treat from 6:30 pm – 8:00 p.m. Oct 31. There will be music, costume contests, games and more. For more information, go online at www.mtpisgahbaptistchurch.org or call (706) 216-6514.

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Antioch Baptist Church 2465 Antioch Road, Cumming, Georgia – will have a Trunk or Treat event from 7:00 pm – 9:00 p.m. Oct. 31. There will be free snacks, candy and marshmallow roasting. For more information, call (678) 910-8688.

7:00 pm – Macbeth at Forsyth Central High School. Acclaimed as William Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, the action-packed show is full of intricate sword combat, and lots of tricks and special effects. Advanced tickets are now on sale for $10/$5 for students and can be purchased online or at the door the night of each performance.  Performances are at the Central High School Performing Arts Center, 520 Tribble Gap Road, Cumming, GA  30040. Recommended for older audiences. In keeping with the spirit of Halloween, theater-goers are encouraged to “dress up” for the October 31st performance, in which prizes will be awarded for the most creative costumes, and then to sit back and experience what has been called William Shakespeare’s darkest and greatest tragedy.

HAUNTED HOUSES IN FORSYTH COUNTY, GA

Hayes Haunt, 7435 Cavaletti Circle, Cumming, GA 30040. Friday and Saturday nights, including Oct. 31, and an encore Nov. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 per person (proceeds go to The Place of Forsyth.) For sensitive guests, “a protective amulet, magical talisman if you will, may be purchased and worn to ward off the monsters for a ‘Hayes Haunt Light’ experience,” according to hayeshaunt.com. Allow 15 to 20 minutes to walk through the haunt.

TRICK OR TREAT EVENTS NEAR FORSYTH COUNTY, GA

Trick or Treat Dahlonega – Ghosts, goblins, witches, wizards and more will be wandering the streets of Downtown Dahlonega on October 31st, 2013 at Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega. This event, brought to the community by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants, provides a safe environment for parents to bring children trick or treating during daylight hours. The event will take place on Thursday, October 31st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, rain or shine. Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega is intended for children ages 12 and under and appropriate costumumes are appreciated! For safety reasons, the roads will be closed and re-routed during the event.
