Saturday, January 11

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – KIDS CLUB®: Mini Masterpieces at Michaels. Kids, paint a mini masterpiece. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join the fun!

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble story time at The Collection Forsyth. Join us in January for “Kindness Matters” Storytime, featuring Llama Llama and the Bully Goat.

11:15 am – Cumming Library – Saturday Scavengers story time for ages 4 – 8. Explore interesting stories and fun activities.

11:15 am – Post Road Library – Saturday Family Storytime at Post – Hats and Mittens! Start your weekend off right at the Post Road library. We’ll have stories, dancing, and fun! This storytime is for children aged 4-8 but bring the whole family!

11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Pet Adoption Event at Petco on Market Place Blvd in Cumming, GA. Adopt a shelter pet (dogs and cats) and save a life from the Humane Society of Forsyth County!

Sunday, January 12

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Hampton Park Library – Teen 80’s movie matinee. Due to licensing restrictions, we can’t advertise the titles of our movies online. However, see if you can guess this week’s film by the following description: 1980s teenager Marty McFly is transported back in time to 1955 where he accidentally changes the course of history through a series of comic misadventures and finds he must return things to the way they were.

2:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Winter Wonderland Concert – Forsyth County Senior Services is providing a great reason to get out of the cold weather with a ‘Winter Wonderland’ Concert for all ages. The Sounds of Sawnee Concert Band will perform at the Sexton Hall Enrichment Center from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, as part of the quarterly concerts hosted by Senior Services.  The concert will feature great music and festive treats to enjoy. The cost is $5 in advance and $8 at the door.
