They will prepare food from the farm produce for snacks. Cane Creek Farm is a wonderful place for children to “unplug,” experience nature, and learn where food really comes from. The week-long Farm Camp gives children the opportunity to experience life on a sustainable farm by participating in activities such as feeding chickens and gathering eggs, making compost, learning about pollinators and other beneficial insects, planting seeds, harvesting fruits and vegetables, and preparing fresh-picked produce for tasty snacks. In addition, campers will gain a sense of place by exploring creeks, fields, and forests while becoming familiar with the plants and animals that live in our area of Georgia. And of course, they will have plenty of room to run and have fun being children!
