Friday, March 21

11:15 am – 11:45 am – Hampton Park Library Preschool Pals story time for ages 3 – 5. These 30 minute programs are designed to promote language, listening, and pre-reading skills by offering vocabulary development, experiences with a variety of literature, and participation in language-related activities.  Hear stories, sing songs, and develop the skills needed to become a successful reader.

6:00 pm – Barnes & Noble – Divergent Page to Screen Party. Enjoy faction drinks in our Cafe. (Will you be divergent?) Free Tris or Four character posters. Trivia Contest (with prizes) at 6:15.

Saturday, March 22

10:00 am – 12:00 pm on the half hour – Michaels KIDS CLUB®: Framed with Creativity. Framed with creativity! Kids, decorate a picture frame with felt stickers. Join us on Saturday, March 22nd,  for our Felt Sticker Frame Event. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth storytime – Come find out why the Unicorn Thinks He’s Pretty Great featuring the story by Bob Shea.

11:15 am – 1:15 pm – Post Road Library Saturday Family Story Time. Start your weekend off right at the Post Road library. We’ll have stories, dancing, and fun! This storytime is for children aged 4-8 but bring the whole family!

11:15 am – 11:45 am – Saturday Story Time at Cumming Library. This storytime includes books, music, and activities. It is designed for ages 4 – 8, but the whole family is welcome to attend.

11:00 am – 3:00 pm – St. Baldrick’s Event at Good Shepherd Catholic Church to raise money for research for a cure for children’s cancer. St Baldrick’s Foundation event. We’ll have head shaving, jump houses, jousting, hot dogs & music!

Sunday, March 23

  – 5:00 pm – Raise a Barn Charity Carnival – Rucker Horse and Pet @ 3540 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming, GA 30041. CHARITY CARNIVAL – SPONSORED BY BETTER MOONWALKS OF GEORGIA!
For kids and adults, we will have Moonwalks, Slides, Obstacle Courses and the Joust! Plus, our new Sports Cage to measure your pitching speed!  FOOD will include:  Hot Dog or Hamburger, with chips and drink $5 donation
Also, Cotton Candy and Popcorn $2 donation. MASSAGE THERAPIST will be on hand to give chair massages for $1/minute. RAFFLE ITEMS:  A Party Package from Tents Tents Tents, valued at $500. A Party Package from Better Moonwalks of Georgia, Valued at $350 + Gift Certificates from Pull Water Sports and Mestizo Mexican Grill, and a special Gift Certificate for a 1 hour massage by Jessie Eaton, LMT, CMT, NMT ($60 Value). Raffle Tickets will be on sale for $10 Each. Arm Bands to play on inflatables and games will be $10 donation for the first kid; discounted for families of multiple kids.

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm – 80′s Movie Matinee at Hampton Park Library. Due to licensing restrictions, we can’t advertise the titles of our movies online. However, see if you can guess this week’s film by the following description: Suburban scientist Wayne Szalinski’s colleagues wouldn’t be laughing now if they could see his kids. Zapped by their dad’s electronic magnetic shrinking invention, the children suddenly find themselves at eye-level with the ants. Swept up and put out with the trash, the tiny troupe must begin a thrill-filled adventure of “size”-mic proportions as they try to keep from being stepped on by their parents, eaten by the family dog, or shredded by a menacing lawnmower.

2:15 pm – 3:45 pm – Divergent Premier Party at Post Road Library, 5010 Post Road, Cumming GA 30040.
One choice defines you. What will you choose? The Post Road library will be hosting a Divergent Choosing Ceremony along with games, themed food, trivia, and crafts related to the five factions. For middle and high school students only. Registration required.
2:30 pm – 5:30 pm – Horse Wedding – Beauty & Patch (Save The Horses) Save The Horses, 1768 Newt Green Road, Cumming, GA. Beauty and Patch (two rescue horses in love) would like to invite you to share in their wedding. They have a special day planned so bring your boots and spend the day. Have a great time and bring your camera. This is a wedding like no other! (One of our rescued miniature horses will be the ring bearer!) The happy couple have a Registry at GoFundMe.  There will be a cash bar, commemorative t-shirt sales and pony rides. Rides begin at 1:30PM. Admission is free! Very casual attire, wear closed-toe shoes. Please invite your friends and family. Let’s help the Rescue continue to do its great work rehabilitating and re-homing these beautiful animals.
Save the Horses is committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of equines suffering from abuse, as well as the successful retirement of working equines. We are an all-volunteer organization, operating solely the on donations given through the generosity of compassionate and caring people. The Horse Rescue, Relief & Retirement Fund is a 501C3 all donations are tax deductible.

3 DAYS OF HOPE is a three day service project to our community. North Lanier Baptist Church: 829 Atlanta Highway, Cumming, Ga 30040. The vision of 3 DAYS OF HOPE is to reflect the heart of Christ by meeting needs and developing relationships within our community. We desire to serve all who are in need, but particularly single parent families and the elderly. When is 3 DAYS OF HOPE? 3 DAYS OF HOPE will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20, 21 and 22 of 2014.
