Friday, April 25

3:30 pm – 6:00 pm – Sharon Elementary Farmers Market, 3595 Old Atlanta Road, Suwanee, GA.

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Brookwood Farmers Market at Caney Creek Preserve.

7:00 pm – 11:00 pm – Back to Woodstock – The Reid Barn, 6844 Majors Road, Cumming, GA. We’re going back to the ’60s! Join us for a great night of live music, food, and a silent auction, all to benefit Family Haven’s victims of domestic abuse and their families. So come on, pull out your platform shoes, bell bottoms, and psychedelic shirts to celebrate PEACE, LOVE, and FAMILY HAVEN! $25.00 per person.

Saturday, April 26

9:00 am – Boulder Dash Girls on the Run 5k 10k walk run – Boulder Dash 5K/10K Fitness Run/Walk and Corporate Challenge and the Spring Fling, following the race. On behalf of Northside Hospital-Forsyth and Bluegrass Materials Company, we hope you enjoy the race course, event venues and Spring Fling post-race activities. Race starts at 9:00 am. 9:00 am – 2:00 pm – Hike for Hyde – Sawnee Mountain Preserve Park at 4075 Spot Road  Cumming, GA 30040. This event benefits the Foundation for Children with Atypical HUS (80%) and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (20%).

8:00 and 10:00 am – Pike Nursery Beneficial Bug Class. Some bugs like the praying mantis, hoverflies, and ladybugs are good for your plants. Join us for a free class to learn what insects are beneficial to your garden.

Pike Nursery is giving away over a million free ladybugs*! Ladybugs are the most popular organic pest control for your garden. Join us for some ladybug luck. *One free packet of ladybugs per family. Supplies are limited and will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

10:00 am – 11:30 am on the half hour. Michaels Kids Club: Mother’s Day Duck Tape® Heart Frame. Create a DIY frame with heart! Join us on April 26, from 10-11:30am, for our Duck Tape® Heart Frame Event. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00 per child.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble Story Time at The Collection Forsyth. Eloise still finds plenty of things to do in the Plaza Hotel. Come hear about one of her funny adventures.

11:00 am – North Georgia Quarter Midget Kids Racing – Cumming Fairgrounds. That is what you will find at the Bill Thomas Raceway located at the Cumming Fairgrounds, home of the North Georgia Quarter Midget Racing Association (NGQMA). Saturdays between March and November, you will find boys and girls, ages 5-16, take to the track, pedal to the metal. Race on over for some wheel to wheel action!  Admisison is always free and concessions are available.

11:15 am – 12:15 pm – Post Road Library Saturday Family Story Time. Start your weekend off right at the Post Road library. We’ll have stories, dancing, and fun! This storytime is for children aged 4-8 but bring the whole family!

11:15 am – 11:45 am – Saturday Story Time at Cumming Library. This storytime includes books, music, and activities. It is designed for ages 4 – 8, but the whole family is welcome to attend.

1:00 pm – Pike Nursery – Kid’s Ladybug Make & Take Class. Bring your kids to this free class where they will learn about beneficial bugs for the garden and make a ladybug craft.

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Forsyth County YMCA community event Healthy Kids Day. Free Community Event. Activities will include: Forsyth Sheriffs/Fire Department, Good Measure Meals, Humane Society, Camp Bow Wow, Playwell Technologies, Abba House, Polo Fields SNAG kids golf demo, Y Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Balloon Animals and Y Summer Day Camp information. April 26 – May 1 – Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consigment Event at Lakewood 400 Antique Market, 1321 ATLANTA HWY (HWY 9) in Cumming, GA. Rhea Lana’s is a semi-annual (one in spring and one in fall) children’s consignment event. We provides families the opportunity shop for and/or sell their gently used, excellent quality children’s clothing, baby equipment, furniture, shoes, toys, maternity clothes and much much more.
