Trunk or Treat and Halloween Events in Cumming, GA for October 2014

pumpkinsHalloween is almost here! Here’s a list of trunk or treat, fall festivals, halloween haunts & trick or treat events for the public during October in Forsyth County, GA.

Please share any church/school/neighborhood events that are open the to public and I will add it to this list!

Please also check directly with each organization as events and times can be subject to change.

Have a safe and fun Halloween. And for those food allergy families, hang in there – I always have a safe snack swap bag for my child!

October 24, 2014 from 4:00 pm – 8:00pm – St Brendan Catholic Church’s Preschool Trunk or Treat & Halloween Party – Trunk or treating is a safe and unique way to trick or treat by going “trunk to trunk” in a family friendly, festive atmosphere.  We will also have a hayride, silent auction, face painting, games and dinner.  All ages are invited to attend and costumes are welcome.  For more information contact Julie Lahey at jlahey @ or 770-207-7969 ext. 20.

October 25 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Trunk or Treat Safety Event at Coal Mountain Park. Admission is one bag of candy per family.  Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to Trunk or Treat, which will feature a haunted maze, bean bag toss, face painting and other fun activities and games. There will also be information on costume safety, pedestrian safety, stranger danger, stop-drop-roll demonstrations, and more!

October 25 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Cumming First United Methodist Church Night in the Patch – 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Hot dog dinner, movie on the lawn, hayride, pumpkin carving, roasting s’mores and popcorn, punkin chunking and more!

October 25 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Creekside Methodist Church Trunk-or-Treat – 4:00-5:30 pm “Trunk or Treating” and 5:30-6:00pm Devotion plus Awards for Costumes and Best Trunks!  Wear your costumes and creatively decorate your trunk or just come participate in the fun! Popcorn and drinks available for sale! Fun activities include jump houses, music, candy and more! Participating trunks must be set up between 3-3:45pm.

October 25 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Fall festival at First Baptist Cumming. 1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA.

Second annual fall festival event on Sunday, October 26, 2:00 – 4:00 pm, in the Pinecrest Academy parking lot! Hayrides, face painting, crafts, photo booth, games and a trunk or treat! 955 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA.

October 26, 2014 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Castleberry Road Baptist Church Fall Festival – Please mark your calendars for our First Fall Festival we are hosting for our community.  We will have an evening of family fun and excitement as we bring in multiple bouncey houses, games, food, and fun for the entire family. October 26, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm – Freedom Tabernacle TRUNK OR TREAT: Our 8th annual Trunk or Treat is coming up! This event will be held in our upper parking lot and all participating vehicles will be parked together. We will have music, hotdogs and marshmallow roasting, activities for the kids, and fun for the entire family! This is a free event sponsored by Freedom Tabernacle’s Children’s and Youth Ministries.

October 29, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Fox’s Pizza Den will be hosting an early Halloween Event for your families to enjoy. Everybody is a winner. We will be holding all kinds of events such as Face Painting, Free Balloons, Make your own Pizza, and our Kids Costume Contest. Enjoy a night out while we keep your kids entertained. Our costume winner will receive $20, A Gift Basket, Free movie tickets, and more. All of our contestants will win a prize from Fox’s for participating.

October 29 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Trunk or Treat – City on a Hill Church – Costumes welcome (nothing scary), bounce house, games, candy, food, free – all ages welcome! 1645 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, GA 30040. For information, call 770-889-6919.

October 29 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Fall Family Festival and Trunk or Treat at Concord Baptist Church. Games, inflatables, trunk or treat, cake walk, face painting, hayrides and much more! Located at 6906 Concord Road, Cumming, GA 30028.

October 29 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Cumming Baptist – 115 Church Street, Cumming, GA 30040 – Fall festival trunk or treat. A great night of fun for the season. Food, music, games, and inflatables will provide joy for all families. The night will end with our Trunk ‘R’ Treat – an awesome display of clever car decorations. Enjoy the costumes,the creativity and, of course, the candy!

October 31 – Kids eat free in costume on Halloween at Beef O’Bradys in Cumming, GA! One free kids meal per adult meal purchase.

October 31 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Trunk or Treat Forsyth at Highlands Church. 43 Canton Highway, Cumming, GA. Highlands Church has partnered with Forsyth County! Hayrides, inflatables, hot dogs, giveaways, trunk or treat. Get autographs from your favorite Disney Princesses and Superheroes!

October 31 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Christ Community Church fall festival. Candy, games, food, face painting, camel rides & more! Food available for purchase.

October 31 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – First Redeemer Church – Fall family fun festival. Annual Fall Family Fun Festival with games and activities for children of all ages. There will be plenty of candy and children are encouraged to come dressed in kid-friendly costumes. Admission is one bag of individually wrapped candy. 2100 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA 30041.


Hayes Haunt, 7435 Cavaletti Circle, Cumming, GA 30040. Friday and Saturday nights, including Oct. 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31, and an encore Nov. 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission is $5 per person (proceeds go to The Place of Forsyth.) For sensitive guests, “a protective amulet may be purchased and worn to ward off the monsters for a ‘Hayes Haunt Light’ experience,” according to Allow 15 to 20 minutes to walk through the haunt.


Trick or Treat Dahlonega – Ghosts, goblins, witches, wizards and more will be wandering the streets of Downtown Dahlonega on October 31st, 2014 at Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega. This event, brought to the community by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants, provides a safe environment for parents to bring children trick or treating during daylight hours.

The event will take place on Friday, October 31st from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, rain or shine. Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega is intended for children ages 12 and under and appropriate costumes are appreciated! For safety reasons, the roads will be closed and re-routed during the event.

Please help Dahlonega keep this Family Fun Tradition! Donate Candy at the Visitors Center, Community & Southern Bank, and United Community Bank Main Branch. (Donated candy will be distributed to the Downtown Merchants.) Park near the Square or the University and walk between the three events!
