warbington farms story timeSpring is in the air! There are lots of fun things to do in Forsyth County, GA this weekend! Let’s get outside and have fun!

Saturday, March 21

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels KIDS CLUB. Make crayon resist cards. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join the fun!

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble story time at The Collection Forsyth. Join us March 21 at 11:00 am for a special Storytime featuring Edmund Unravels. Edmund is ready to discover the wonders of the world and go on new adventures. Activities to follow.

11:15 am – Post Road Library – Saturday Family Storytime at Post. Start your weekend off right at the Post Road library. We’ll have books, rhymes, stories, dancing, and fun! This storytime is for children aged 4-8 but bring the whole family!

12:30 pm – Farmer for a Day Storytime and Planting at Warbington Farms. Change the way your child thinks about food! We will have story-time about plants and gardening then kids (and adults) will learn about spring gardening and plant plants in our “Children’s Garden! There will still be plenty of time for a “hey”ride to feed the cows, feeding the animals in the petting zoo, and playing in the fun park. The best part is that you and your kids can come back this spring and pick the vegetables that they helped grow! The Fun Park will be open from 11:30-3pm with the story-time and planing starting at 12:30. Story-time and planting are FREE with Fun Park Admission which is $8 kids and $5 adults. Purchase tickets the day of event.

Sunday, March 22

2:15 pm – 4:15 pm – Creation Station Afternoon at Post Road Library. Join them for an afternoon of fun and creativity. Legos! Crafts! Puzzles! Games!

2:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Senior Services Celtic Concert – Forsyth County Senior Services is celebrating the spring season with a “Celtic Concert” for all ages. The Sounds of Sawnee Concert Band will perform at the Sexton Hall Enrichment Center from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, as part of the concert series hosted by Senior Services. This concert will also feature a special bagpipe performance by North Atlanta Pipes & Drums.  Refreshments will be included in the concert admission price. The cost is $5 in advance and $8 at the door.   Sexton Hall Enrichment Center serves active adults ages 50+ and offers a variety of opportunities including art, music, dancing, drama, continuing education, technology, fitness and leisure activities. It is located at 2115 Chloe Road, just off of Sharon Road between Peachtree Parkway and Old Atlanta Road.  For additional information, call Senior Services at 770.781.2178.
