There’s lots of fun things to do in Forsyth County this weekend. As always, please comment and share if you hear of any other neat events.

Friday, April 3

10:00 am – 11:00 am – Hampton Park Library – Busy Builders. Let’s build something together! Did you know that playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child’s cognitive learning and social skills? Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime. You bring your creativity, we’ll provide the rest! All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required, drop-in anytime!

Saturday, April 4

9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Home Depot Kids Workshop. Learn how to build a chalkboard planter stand.

  • Come learn how to build a pair of bookends with sports or flower stickers.
  • FREE hands-on workshops; designed for children ages 5 – 12.
  • All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.
  • Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.
  • Kids Workshop activities are scheduled on a first come/first served basis. Please do not arrive before 9:00 a.m.
  • Thank you for registering online to help us better plan our craft kit quantities needed.

10:00 am – 3:00 pm – 2015 Farm EGGstravaganza at Warbington Farms Join us for an “EGGstravagant” day at the farm. Admission is $10 kids and $5 adults. 5555 Crow ROAD, Cumming, Georgia 30041. 470-297-9567.

Included in admission is:
-Egg hunt & prizes
-FREE photo with our live bunnies and baby lambs (photographer will be on site to take a professional picture).
-Visit with Easter Bunny & Alice and Wonderland crew.
-Unlimited play in our fun park area with our “hey” ride, petting zoo, inflatables & more!
-LOTS of family farm fun.

-Bigger and better than last year!
-Bring your own basket for hunting eggs. 
-Choose between two egg hunts: 11:00 and 1:00 on two different days (March 28th and April 4th)
-Younger kids will have a separate area to hunt eggs (a bigger and more separated area than last year).
-Prize eggs will include coupons to farm, free slushies, and MUCH more!
-Purchase tickets at gate.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble story time at The Collection Forsyth. Join us March 28 at 11:00 am for Storytime featuring New York Times bestselling children’s book Duck & Goose. Duck doesn’t much care for Goose at first, and Goose isn’t fond of Duck. But both want the egg that each claims to be his.

11:00 AM – Sharon Forks Library – Sensory Storytime for Children with Special Needs 

11:15 AM – Post Road Library  One World Forsyth – A Dia Celebration with The Center for Puppetry Arts! 

11:00 am – 6:00 pm – Taste of Forsyth & Easter Egg Hunt – 11:00 am – 6:00 pm – Taste of Forsyth & Easter Egg Hunt at the Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road, Cumming, GA. Taste of Forsyth will be in full swing celebrating 12 years on Saturday April 4 at the City of Cumming Fairgrounds. Plan to sample from over 25 restaurants with over 10,000 of your family and friends. Located 40 miles North of Atlanta nestled up to Lake Lanier the Taste of Forsyth is a great community event with music, kids zone, local entertainment, touch-a-truck and much more.

11:00 am – Barnes and Noble Storytime with the Easter Bunny – 11:00 am – Barnes and Noble will host the EASTER BUNNY for Storytime at 11:00 am on April 4!

12:30 pm – 4:00 pm – Free Photos with the Easter Bunny at The Collection Forsyth – Atlanta Diamond Design.  FREE Pictures with the Easter Bunny at Atlanta Diamond Design at The Collection Forsyth. Bring the whole family (and your camera) for a chance to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. Plus, we’ll have crafts, games, and activities for the kids. Rain or shine for this indoor activity.

1:15 PM – Post Road Library One World Forsyth – A Dia Celebration With The Center for Puppetry Arts
