My tween daughter recently expressed interest in babysitting. I searched for classes and asked friends for resources. I learned about Babysitting 101 Plus from a friend and my daughter is excited to take her class coming up in June.
The class is run by Barri Zehner, a nurse who also works full time. She is offering our families a wonderful service and I wanted to share her information with readers.
“Babysitting 101 Plus is a very fun and innovative class designed for kids ages 10 – 15 years old who will either be staying home alone for any number of hours, watching siblings, or babysitting. This class originated in Windermere (Southern Forsyth County) 6 years ago and has trained and certified close to 1,000 kids from FoCo and surrounding areas due primarily to word-of-mouth publicity from highly satisfied parents and kids who LOVED the class.
Graduates of this program understand the importance of their job like no others, as this class is taught from the heart, giving the kids ownership of their responsibilities. They leave this class truly understand their role in the life of the children they are watching, not just the tasks they will be performing. Based on SAFETY and making WISE CHOICES (at all times; not just while babysitting), kids are equipped to handle their responsibilities and face any challenges that may arise with confidence upon completion of this class.
Topics include everything from marketing the business, to caring for kids of all ages and needs, handling emergencies, first aid, and graduates are also CERTIFIED in CPR from the American Heart Association upon completion of this 1 day, 8 hour program. It’s a long day, but the kids will tell you that the time flies, and they are in no hurry to leave at the end of the day. This class speaks for itself, but if that’s not enough, odds are you know someone who has already taken the class and they can tell you about it themselves.
Discounts are available for siblings registering together, or for groups of 5 or more registering together. For more information about this class and how to register for one of the upcoming classes, visit the website at www.Babysitting101Plus.com, or email email@example.com. Don’t delay, as class size is limited, and the spring/summer classes book up quickly!”
