Friday, September 18

10:00 AM – Hampton Park Library – Busy Builders. Let’s build something together! Playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child’s cognitive learning and social skills! Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime. You bring your creativity, we’ll provide the rest! All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required, drop-in anytime!

11:15 AM – Cumming Library – Read, Build, Play. Read, Build, Play is an interactive story time that encourages development of early literacy in preschoolers. The program is designed for children ages 2-5 accompanied by a caregiver and is approximately 45 minutes long. It includes stories, music, activities, and play time all related to a creative theme. Advance registration is not required.

11:15 PM – Post Road Library – Preschoolers @ Post – Musical Morning. Educate and entertain your little learner, aged 3-5, at the Post Road Library. Join us on Fridays for a variety of preschool play each week. Throughout the month we will offer a music class, center-based play, science and STEM for the preschool set and a craft day, perfect for little fingers and growing imaginations! For ages 3-5. No registration required.

Saturday, September 19

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels Kids Club Event: Make a fall hand print tree! Let the kids craft while you shop, and then they get to take their creativity home with them! Just $2 per 30-minute session – including supplies. Ages 3 & up welcome!

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble – The Collection Forsyth. Join us for Storytime and activities featuring Barnes & Noble’s picture book of the month, Bug in a Vacuum.

11:00 AM – Sharon Forks Library – Sensory Storytime for Children with Special Needs. This sensory storytime program is designed for children with special needs. It will feature dim lighting, flexible start/end time, multiple presentation methods, and stories, songs, and rhymes with heavy repetition. All ages and abilities welcome. Please contact the Sharon Forks Library with any questions or concerns or if your child needs special accommodations.

11:15 AM – Post Road Library – Saturday Family Storytime at Post. Start your weekend off right at the Post Road library. We’ll have books, dancing and fun! This storytime is great for the whole family!

Sunday, September 20

12:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Play at the Park Family Fun Festival at Fowler Park. This fun family friendly event, now in its 13th year, is hosted by Forsyth County’s parks and recreation department. The free festival will feature a variety of family-friendly entertainment. Activities include inflatables, a petting zoo, train rides, magic and puppet shows and food vendors.
Fall Consignment Sales This Weekend

9/17 – 9/19 – Midway United Methodist Church consignment sale. Located at 5025 Atlanta Highway Alpharetta, Georgia 30004. Spring and Fall, Midway United Methodist Church conducts a Children’s Consignment Sale held in Alpharetta, Georgia. You can buy and sell infant, children, and teen items such as:  toys, outdoor toys, bikes/scooters, clothes (infant to teen/junior), books/movies, computer games, games and systems (X-box, Playstation, Wii, Nintendo), furniture and accessories, just to name a few!  Come shop us and find quality clothes at consignment prices – especially on the last day when most everything is half price!

9/17 – 9/19 – Cumming First United Methodist Church – Cumming First United Methodist Church in Cumming, Georgia hosts a Kid’s Consignment Sale twice a year.  This ministry raises funds for Women and Children’s outreach programs both locally and globally. CFUMC is located at 770 Canton Highway in Cumming, GA, 30040.
