Friday, January 15

Cumming Aquatic Center is excited to be offering half price daily admission on the 3rd Friday of each month beginning on Friday, January 15th, 2016. Please visit our website or give us a call for more info and for our hours of operation. Memberships, group exercise passes, and rentals are excluded.

10:00 AM – Hampton Park Library – Busy Builders – Let’s build something together! Did you know that playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child’s cognitive learning and social skills? Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime. You bring your creativity, we’ll provide the rest! All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required, drop-in anytime!

11:15 AM – Cumming Library Read, Build, Play – Read, Build, Play is an interactive story time that encourages development of early literacy in preschoolers. The program is designed for children ages 2-5 accompanied by a caregiver and is approximately 45 minutes long. It includes stories, music, activities, and play time with Duplo Legos all related to a creative theme.

11:15 AM – Post Road Library Preschoolers @ Post – Musical Morning – Sing, play instruments and move to music. For ages 3-5, no registration required.

6:00 PM Barnes & Noble – Teen Centric Book Club Meeting. Join us for a lively discussion of the books The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp and Another Day by David Levithan! We will also briefly discuss the movie version of The Spectacular Now to compare the adaptation to the book.

Saturday, January 16

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels Kids Club Event: KIDS CLUB® Snowman Mobile. Let the kids craft while you shop, and then they get to take their creativity home with them! Just $2 per 30-minute session – including supplies. Ages 3 & up welcome!

11:00 AM – Sharon Forks Library Sensory Storytime for Children with Special Needs 

11:00 AM – Barnes & Noble – The Collection Forsyth –   Join us Saturday, January 16 at 11:00AM for Storytime featuring Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes.

11:15 AM – Post Road Library – Saturday Family Storytime at Post – Start your weekend off right at the Post Road library. We’ll have stories, dancing, and fun! This storytime is for children aged 4-8 but bring the whole family!
