Friday, April 15

10:00 AM – Hampton Park Library  Busy Builders – Let’s build something together! Did you know that playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child’s cognitive learning and social skills? Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime. You bring your creativity, we’ll provide the rest! All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required, drop-in anytime!

11:15 AM – Sharon Forks Library – Preschool Discovery: Cars 

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – FREE Concert in Vickery Village this Friday April 15th from 4pm to 7pm. HUSH MONEY, a local band, will be donating their time and talent so that we can have a great start to a Spring weekend. They will be playing some Pearl Jam, Buddy Holly, White Stripes, Audioslave, Eric Clapton, Black Crows, etc. Please tell your friends and neighbors about this event. These guys are going to a great effort to perform, lets show our appreciation with our attendance. The center of the village is public space, feel free to bring chairs, blankets, coolers, snacks, anything!  Spread the word! This Friday. Should be a great time. The show will be appropriate for all ages.

Saturday, April 16

9:00 am – 1:00 pm – Electronics Recycling Event – Electronics & Paint Recycling event. If you are in the area, here’s your chance to get rid of all that electronic stuff thats been in the garage/basement/attic all winter. Also a good opportunity to clean out those almost empty paint cans that you’ve been holding on to. See you Saturday at the Fairgrounds Parking Lot.
9:00 am – 5:00 pm – Bubble Soccer – North Forsyth High School – Team spots still available if you want to play this Saturday!!!
The Sheriff’s dept and the Fire dept have teams! Five (over 15 yrs old) players to a team…and you can name your team! It is a blast!! You must register to play! No cost to come out and watch! A BYOT event.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels KIDS CLUB: Make a paper butterfly windsock. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join the fun!
11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth story time. Larry the lovable monster from Don’t Push the Button! is back with another hilarious, interactive adventure! I know what you’re thinking: this is a pretty cool-looking book. But … DON’T TOUCH THIS BOOK! (Don’t even try it.) Join us for Storytime featuring Don’t Touch This Book! Coloring and activities to follow.

11:15 AM – Post Road Library – Saturday Family Storytime

2:00 pm – Join us for an author discussion and signing of The Last Monster by the new and exciting author Ginger Garrett.

BBQ – Harmony Baptist Church‘s Annual BBQ is April 16th in Dawsonville, GA. Everyone come out for some great food, fun and fellowship. Walk-ins welcome! Or Reserve your plate.
