9:00 am – Boulder Dash 5K and 10K – The Boulder Dash is a unique opportunity that awaits you to meander through an environmentally responsible, operational hard rock quarry. This is a 5K and 10K run/walk as you have never imagined. See the working quarry face, the ancient rock deposits, the massive equipment that processes it, and the natural surroundings, as you take the challenge of the Boulder Dash-with the Bluegrass Spring Fling awaiting you at the Finish Line!

9:00 am – Pike Nursery Free Class – Edible Gardening in Containers & Raised Beds – Growing your own fruit, vegetables and herbs is easy, nutritious and one of the most rewarding things about gardening. In this free class, learn how to grow and care for these tasty plants that make healthy living delicious, economical and fun.

10:00 am – 2:00 pm – Forsyth County YMCA – 10AM-2PM. “Healthy Kids Day”…. Promoting the health and wellness of our kids and families. Free community event with kid exercise demo’s, meet summer camp counselors, US Army Corps of Engineers, Red Cross, Forsyth Sheriff’s Department, bounce houses, healthy kid vendors, face painting, and much much more!

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels KIDS CLUB: Make a tie dye banner. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join the fun!
11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth story time. A baseball stadium comes to life in this magical picture book written by Phil Bildner and illustrated by Tom Booth from the publishing imprint of legendary sports icon and role model Derek Jeter.
