Atlanta Parent Magazine also lists 100 things to do with your kids this summer in Atlanta and it’s awesome! Dutch Monkey Doughnuts made the list in Forsyth County!

Friday, June 2

10:00am – 2:00pm / 2:30-6:30pm on Mondays – Saturdays – Cumming Aquatic Center is now open daily! Hours on Sundays are 1:00 – 6:00 pm.

11:00 AM – Off Site (See Program Description for Details) Post Road and Sharon Forks Summer Reading Kick-Off Carnival

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Movies in the Park – Moana – Dawsonville, GA – War Hill Park, 4081 War Hill Park Road. Activities start at 6:00 pm, movie starts at dusk. Bounce house, vendors, games, concessions, prizes. Bring a blanket, towel or lawn chair! No pets.

Saturday, June 3

6:30 am – 10:30 am – Cumming Farmers Market is opening for the summer on Saturday, June 3 at the Cumming Fairgrounds parking lot on Castleberry Road in Cumming, GA. Please visit their Facebook page to get more information about locally produced vegetables, meat, baked goods, honey, soaps, flowers, art, woodworking and so much more! Open Saturdays and Wednesdays during the summer season.

10:00am – 2:00pm / 2:30-6:30pm on Mondays – Saturdays – Cumming Aquatic Center is now open daily! Hours on Sundays are 1:00 – 6:00 pm.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels Kids Club Event: Make a flip book! Let the kids craft while you shop, and then they get to take their creativity home with them! Just $2 per 30-minute session – including supplies. Ages 3 & up welcome!

10:00 am – 7:00 pm – Old Atlanta Spray Pad opens for the season at Old Atlanta Park, 810 Nichols Road until September 4. Daily admission for the spray pad is $2 per person for 1-year-olds and up. Only cash or check is accepted. Adults entering with a paying child are free if they remain on the dry deck. Annual individual passes are available for $30, and annual family passes are available for $60.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth If You Ever Want to Bring a Circus to the Library, Don’t! Story time – If you see a poster that says “You Can Do Anything at the Library!,” it is NOT giving you permission to put on a circus! But Magnolia doesn’t see any problem with setting up her own big top. She’s got a lot of gusto and one mean human cannonball routine. So what if her greatest show on Earth won’t fit between the bookshelves? Activities to follow.

1:00 PM – Post Road Library Sensory Storytime for Children with Special Needs

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Lambert Farmers Market. The farmers market will operate this season from May 27th to October 28th. We are excited to bring a variety of products from an array of vendors to this community! We hope that the Lambert Farmers Market will strengthen the bond between the locals in the area while increasing awareness of where their food comes from. This will be our first season, and we hope that there will be many more! The market will be held on the grounds of Lambert High School, 805 Nichols Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024. lambertfarmersmarket.com

Around Forsyth County

Saturday June 3 at 6:30 pm – Pete’s Dragon – Movies Under the Stars Summer Series at Mall of Georgia. As part of the summer series, local bands will take the stage at The Village Pavilion from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and the feature film will shine on a 35-foot big screen at The Village Amphitheatre starting at dusk (around 9 p.m.). Guests can also enjoy a variety of fun games, jump time in bounce houses, summer snack concessions such as shaved ice and more. As always, shoppers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to get cozy for the music and motion picture production!

North Point Mall Carnival – Come visit the carnival Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot between the Sears and JC Penney stores from 5 to 11 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 11 p.m. weekends. The carnival will have 18 to 20 rides, games, food and restroom facilities.

All Weekend

Pick strawberries at Warbington Farms! The 2017 strawberry season is in full swing!  Strawberry season usually runs till second week of June. Price is $14 (plus tax) for U-Pick and $16 (plus tax) for Pre-Picked. We provide the buckets and do not allow outside containers in the field. Please keep in mind that we do close the field for inclement weather. Berry picking is based on availability and we close the fields once the berries are picked out for the day.
