Saturday, August 12

6:30 am – 10:30 am – Cumming Farmers Market is opening for the summer on Saturday, June 3 at the Cumming Fairgrounds parking lot on Castleberry Road in Cumming, GA. Please visit their Facebook page to get more information about locally produced vegetables, meat, baked goods, honey, soaps, flowers, art, woodworking and so much more! Open Saturdays and Wednesdays during the summer season.

8:00 am – 1:00 pm – North Fulton Mothers of Multiples Consignment Sale Fall/Winter 2017HUGE KIDS’ CONSIGNMENT SALE  – Over 20,000 new & gently used baby/kid/tween items held at Lakewood 400 in Cumming, GA. Shopping times:
Friday, August 11: 6-8pm Pre-Sale FREE for all shoppers, Saturday, August 12: 8am – 1pm.

8:00 am – 1:00 pm  – Creekside MOPS Baby & Kids Consignment Sale Come visit Creekside UMC for our semi-annual consignment sale. There will be thousands of great bargains on children’s clothing, junior clothing, maternity clothing, baby furniture, baby equipment, toys, and much more. Friday, August 11th from 9am-1pm and Saturday, August 12th, from 8am-1pm (many items will be half-off on Saturday). A private preview sale will be held on Thursday, August 10th, from 8pm-9:30pm (no strollers permitted at Thursday night preview sale). Anyone is welcome to shop the preview sale with a $5 donation.
First 50 shoppers each day will receive a free reusable shopping bag! Cash or check only; NO credit or debit cards. Proceeds benefit Creekside’s MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and Teen MOPS ministries. Visit www.creekside.net/consignment-sale for more info. Hope to see you there!

9:00 am – Special Needs Library Hour & Sensory Storytime – Hampton Park Library. Join us on the second Saturday of each month for a special hour of library time designed to accommodate our patrons with special needs. We will open our doors an hour early so that you will have a warm and welcoming environment designed just for you! Browse the library and check out your favorite books, movies, and CDs. And, when Special Needs Library Hour is over, we invite you to stay for Sensory Storytime, specifically designed for children with special needs. Registration is not required for this program. Please contact Hampton Park Library if you have any questions, 770-781-9840 ext. 6709. Please note: The library will be open early for patrons with special needs and their families. If you or your family do not meet these requirements, please visit us during our normal operating hours. Thank you for your understanding.

10:00am – 2:00pm / 2:30-6:30pm on Mondays – Saturdays – Cumming Aquatic Center is now open daily! Hours on Sundays are 1:00 – 6:00 pm.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels Kids Club Event: Make Kawaii backpack tags! Let the kids craft while you shop, and then they get to take their creativity home with them! Just $2 per 30-minute session – including supplies. Ages 3 & up welcome!

10:00 am – 7:00 pm – Old Atlanta Spray Pad opens for the season at Old Atlanta Park, 810 Nichols Road until September 4. Daily admission for the spray pad is $2 per person for 1-year-olds and up. Only cash or check is accepted. Adults entering with a paying child are free if they remain on the dry deck. Annual individual passes are available for $30, and annual family passes are available for $60.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth – Goodnight Lab: A Scientific Parody Story time – While poking fun at the clutter and chaos of lab life, this sweet parody of the beloved Goodnight Moon gives scientists of all ages everything they need to say goodnight and rest before returning to the research world in the morning. Activities to follow.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Michaels Make Break – Paint scenes from your favorite season. Buy a canvas and Michaels provides the rest!

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Lambert Farmers Market. The farmers market will operate this season from May 27th to October 28th. We are excited to bring a variety of products from an array of vendors to this community! We hope that the Lambert Farmers Market will strengthen the bond between the locals in the area while increasing awareness of where their food comes from. This will be our first season, and we hope that there will be many more! The market will be held on the grounds of Lambert High School, 805 Nichols Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024. lambertfarmersmarket.com

Saturday August 05, 2017 9:00 AM – Pre-K through Grade 12 – Educators join us every Saturday and Sunday in August to do your back-to-school shopping and enjoy 25% off most books, toys, games, movies, music, and 10% off Café consumables and select NOOK devices.
