3:00 pm – Hampton Park Library – New Year’s Traditions Around the World – Ring in the New Year with this family-friendly celebration of the past and the future. Reminisce on 2017 as we trot the globe and share New Year’s traditions, crafts, and games from different cultures. All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required, but space is limited.

5:30 pm – 10:00 pm – The Final Countdown: A Teen’s New Year’s Eve Party hosted by Music Authority. Music Authority’s Final Countdown is an 18 AND UNDER event and a safe way to spend your New Year’s Eve. Rock the night away with live music, great coffee and a balloon drop to close out the party right here in Forsyth County. Presented by Music Authority and The Warehouse, the coffee shop will be open, concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase, and let’s not forget that some of the best young bands in the area will be performing. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the music will play until 10 pm.

NEW AND EXCITING THIS YEAR, we have door prizes for ticket holders and the top prize is a YAMAHA ELECTRIC GUITAR compliments of our friends at Yamaha! Music Authority’s Final Countdown is a concert event and a safe way to spend your New Year’s Eve. Rock the night away with live music, great coffee from Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee at The Warehouse, and a balloon drop to close out the party right here in Forsyth County.

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth story time. Join us in welcoming Santa Claus himself back by popular demand to read this sure to be future classic story by pop singer Kelly Clarkson. It’s Christmas Eve and River Rose wants to stay up all night to hand-deliver a note to Santa, but she and her dog fall asleep only to find they’ve been swept off on another magical adventure. Activities to follow.

 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Pictures with Santa at The Gibson Co. 3960 Browns Bridge Rd, Cumming, Georgia 30041. For two Saturdays in December, Santa Randy will be joining us at the shop for free Pictures! Bring your own camera (or photographer) and enjoy this gift as a “Thank You” for your patronage and friendship this year.

3:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Grinch Candy Cane Hunt at Warbington Farms Help! The Grinch has discovered that Santa’s elves have hidden candy canes at one of their favorite places….Warbington Farms. He’s planning on finding them and turning them green! Please help us find them all before it’s too late!

The event is 3:00-7:00 but Santa Pop will be at farm from 4-7 and Candy Cane Hunts will be at 4:15 and 5:15. *We suggest arriving at farm at least ten minutes before each hunt to allow time to park, pay, and get to hunt.

Admission is $7 per person (under three free) and includes:

2:30 pm – The Cumming Library – Hampstead Stage presents A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is a timeless story with a universal message about the true spirit of the holiday season and the importance of friends and family. HSC’s adaptation follows the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and his clerk, Bob Cratchit, during a particularly difficult Christmas time. Through visits from three spirits, Scrooge learns the true meaning of helping his fellow man, and that there is no time like the present to become a better person. No registration required. The Ice Rink @ North Georgia is a seasonal outdoor ice rink at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, GA open from Nov 17 – Jan 5.

Christmas in Castille – Opens November 30! The light show runs Thursday – Saturdays from 6-9pm until December 23rd. Turn your radio dial to 89.9 and enjoy the Christmas lights on this magical street. 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA. The light show is free and they are taking donations for a local charity through the West Forsyth DECA Club.

If you would like some quality time with your family please feel free to come out and join us! The 2017 Christmas season will be in operation from Saturday, November 18th until December 20th. Due to our desire to celebrate the holidays with our own families we will not be open on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Eve.

Christmas Light Shows Around Forsyth County and Cumming, GA for 2017

Christmas Light Shows in Cumming, GAIt’s holiday festivity time, and with it comes light shows! Pack the kids in the car, brew some hot chocolate and enjoy an evening drive of viewing Christmas lights.

Here are local Christmas light shows in and around Forsyth County, GA for the 2017 holiday season!

The Christmas in Castille light show is located at 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA 30004. The show starts at 6 PM and runs until 9 PM on Thursdays – Saturdays through Dec 23rd. The neighborhood is gated so when the gates close for the night, the show ends. When you drive up, tune your radio to 89.9FM. Check out their FB page for updates and weather alerts.

Lanier Islands Christmas – nightly – 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Get ready to be amazed by one of the best holiday light displays in the southeast. Drive through miles of dazzling lights and experience the joy of the season here at Lanier Islands! For a quarter century Lanier Islands has been the ultimate place to visit near Atlanta for holiday light displays.

For those unfamiliar with Magical Lights, it is 7 miles of lighting extravaganza that winds along the Lanier Islands’ roadways. Starting at the animated Carousel, down through the Toy Soldiers, up past the illuminated diamond wonder light, under the snowflake bridge, then all the way to Santa’s Workshop, the Christmas Carnival and more!

Your journey does not stop with the lights. Our Holiday Village is a must-see for everyone, complete with a bonfires for roasting marshmallows, delicious holiday fare, amusement rides, holiday shopping and much more. Sunday, December 17 at 7:00 pm – Ashebrooke Night of Lights: Ashebrooke Subdivisions – Bethelview Road (between Kelly Mill and Hwy 20.) Visit Ashebrooke Subdivision for the 11th annual “Night of Lights” –  the residents of Ashebrooke light up their streets and their homes with luminary bags & candles to put on a great display of lights in an effort to help raise money for a worthy cause.  5005 Luke Dr, Cumming GA 30040

Please note: For traffic flow, Ashebrooke is requesting visitors enter through the Luke Dr. entrance (Address listed above) and exit via Northridge Dr. Exit 13 – West from GA 400.

Dawson Junction Subdivision – nightly through December 25 – 121 Switchman Lane, Dawsonville GA 30534. Sun – Thur 5:30- 10pm and Friday & Saturday 5:30 – 11pm. Tune your radio station to 107.7 to make the light show start.

Happy House in Cumming, 5455 Young Deer Dr Cumming GA 30041. The Christmas lights are on daily from 6pm until 10pm from now til January 1. Happy House has 100,000 + lights and named Happy House by the children in the neighborhood. No fancy music or wild flashing lights more like an Old Fashioned Christmas enjoyed by young and old.

Canton Christmas Light Show

Holiday Lights at Veterans Park, 7345 Cumming Highway, Canton, GA 30115. The new park in Cherokee Co. on Highway 20 North side just outside Forsyth has an unbelievable one million lights display. It’s $20 a car load! Nightly at 6:00 pm through January 6, 2018.

Fare: $7 per person *purchase tickets at gate. Experience a magical journey of Christmas fun at Warbington Farms. *Pictures with SANTA (bring or own camera or purchase professional pictures). There will be a photo area complete with Santa, his sleigh and SNOW! Santa Pop will be at farm from 4-8pm. Must be in line by 7:30 to have picture taken with Santa.

December 17 – Ashebrooke Subdivision Night of Lights – The 12th Annual Night of Lights is a festive way to spend an evening viewing luminaries and a live nativity scene. It is a great fundraiser and a fun holiday event. Located off Bethelview Rd between Kelly Mill and Hwy. 20 in Cumming, GA.
December 2 – December 23 – Santa at The Collection Forsyth
Bring your own camera to take pictures with Santa every Saturday and Sunday from December 2nd to December 23rd from 1pm to 5pm. Santa will be at Shop 360 (In between Origins and Lane Bryant). Click here for more information. 
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides at The Collection Forsyth run December 2nd – December 17, 1-5pm. Enjoy a holiday tradition for locals and guests alike. The Ice Rink @ North Georgia is a seasonal outdoor ice rink at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, GA open from Nov 17 – Jan 5.

Christmas in Castille – Opens November 30! The light show runs Thursday – Saturdays from 6-9pm until December 23rd. Turn your radio dial to 89.9 and enjoy the Christmas lights on this magical street. 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA. The light show is free and they are taking donations for a local charity through the West Forsyth DECA Club.

Bottoms Christmas Tree Farm – Monday – Friday 3:00 PM – DARK, Saturday 9:00 AM – DARK, CLOSED ON SUNDAY. 2017 Season: November 18th – December 23rd. Santa will be visiting Saturday, December 9th  11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Fresh homemade wreaths, mailbox swags, and Christmas Bows are made daily and also available for sale. Also at BTF, we have hayrides, available on the weekends, hot apple cider, petting zoo, kids play zone, fresh made jams and jellies, Santa Claus (see website for certain dates), bon-fire, and many other fun activities.

Kinsey Family Farm – Our Christmas festivities, including wagon rides, hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting, Christmas tree picking and general merriment, have begun! If you would like some quality time with your family please feel free to come out and join us! The 2017 Christmas season will be in operation from Saturday, November 18th until December 20th. Due to our desire to celebrate the holidays with our own families we will not be open on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Eve.
