Here are local Christmas light shows in and around Forsyth County, GA for the 2017 holiday season!

The Christmas in Castille light show is located at 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA 30004. The show starts at 6 PM and runs until 9 PM on Thursdays – Saturdays through Dec 23rd. Lanier Islands Christmas – nightly – 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Get ready to be amazed by one of the best holiday light displays in the southeast. Drive through miles of dazzling lights and experience the joy of the season here at Lanier Islands! For a quarter century Lanier Islands has been the ultimate place to visit near Atlanta for holiday light displays.

For those unfamiliar with Magical Lights, it is 7 miles of lighting extravaganza that winds along the Lanier Islands’ roadways. Happy House in Cumming, 5455 Young Deer Dr Cumming GA 30041. The Christmas lights are on daily from 6pm until 10pm from now til January 1. Happy House has 100,000 + lights and named Happy House by the children in the neighborhood. No fancy music or wild flashing lights more like an Old Fashioned Christmas enjoyed by young and old.

Holiday Lights at Veterans Park, 7345 Cumming Highway, Canton, GA 30115. The new park in Cherokee Co. on Highway 20 North side just outside Forsyth has an unbelievable one million lights display. It’s $20 a car load! Nightly at 6:00 pm through January 6, 2018.

For years, we have been going to Kinsey Family Farm in Forsyth County, GA to pick out our annual pumpkin. Unfortunately, the Kinsey Farm was hit pretty hard by Irma, so please check their website and FB page for their open times.

The farm features hayrides, barn animals and catfish to feed in the pond among other fun things. There are picnic tables if you would like to bring a picnic lunch. Sample their caramel apples or boiled peanuts (available after 10/1.) They also have a 25,000 square foot nursery and during the holidays you can pick out a Christmas tree and enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows.

The farm is open every day in October and features a wide variety of pumpkins as well as apples, gourds, corn stalks, indian corn, straw bales, and much more. Check out their fall harvest shop and pick up some apples, salsa, jam, honey, breads, preserves and much more!

Opening late afternoon on September 30, the pumpkin patch will be open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Saturdays and 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Sundays – Fridays throughout the month of October. Burt’s Farm – Pumpkin Patch, Hay Rides, Country Store. 5 Burts Pumpkin Farm Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534. The Burt’s Farm hay ride has become just as much of a fall tradition as our pumpkins, so of course we will have our fleet of tractors and wagons ready for everyone this fall. For those of you who want to be sure your annual fall trip includes a hay ride through the pumpkin patch, here are our hay ride hours for Fall 2014:

Please note the business hours for our pumpkin patch and country store are different.If you haven’t taken’t a hay ride at Burt’s Farm, this is a great year to try it! Our hay ride travels two miles around the pumpkin patch and through the woods. The wagons are filled with wheat straw and are pulled by a big farm tractor.  You will see our two most famous pumpkins Autumn and Gordy along the way and also go through a covered bridge filled with singing pumpkins. New for this year we have planted over 8,000 zinnia flowers! At the end of the ride you will get a glimpse of Amicalola Falls, the highest waterfall east of the Mississippi River. It’s a beautiful sight.The cost of the hayride is $4.00 for children 1 to 12 years old and $5.00 for adults (there is no charge for children less than a year old). We hope you’ll join us for a hay ride this fall!

Snow Mountain is open at Stone Mountain through February 18, 2013! In the tradition of the South, our two favorite porkers – Scarlett O’Hama and Rhett Gruntler – show off their newest offspring, the real Priscilla the pink pig. Itsy-Biscuit, a miniature version of the famous racehorse Seabiscuit, will be racing around the paddock while baby goats and baby donkeys wander around this Wild West Town, eager for some cuddling.
