The Anderson’s Sunflowers are now open from 8:30am – 8:30pm daily while the flowers last. Professional photographers, the cost is $35 per client. All other customers taking pictures and enjoying the beauty, the cost is $10 per car. Sunflowers can be purchased from a pre-cut selection or you can cut your own. They are pet friendly, but pets must be on a leash. Their location is 3360 Shiloh Rd. Cumming, GA 30040. Check their FB page for more details.

FREE WOOD CHIPS

Are you working on a landscaping project, or planning for one in the spring? Free wood chips made from recycled Christmas trees and county-cleared limbs are available seven days a week, first come, first served, to county residents for pickup just inside of Coal Mountain Park. Residents are responsible for bringing their own shovels and equipment for loading and hauling. Coal Mountain Park is located at 3560 Settingdown Road in northern Forsyth County. The 20th anniversary celebration of Norman’s Landing is set for 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the restaurant, 365 Peachtree Parkway. The festivities at Norman’s Landing will include 10 percent off food and other discounts, such as $1 oysters and shrimp. There also will be a sports cage and a bounce house, and owner Bill Norman will be sitting in a dunk tank. Proceeds benefit the Forsyth County Humane Society.
