These cozy, horse-drawn carriage rides through The Collection are the perfect way to enjoy the lights, sights, and sounds of Christmas at The Collection with your family and friends!
Nov. 17, 2017 – Jan. 3, 2018: Magical Nights of Lights 25th Anniversary at Lanier Islands – Drive through larger-than-life holiday light displays at Lanier Islands while you hear songs of the season on your radio or smartphone. Enhance the experience with the companion app, and stop at the Holiday Village to visit Santa, shop for gifts, and ride carnival rides. Admission to the 25th Anniversary of Magical Nights of Lights and Holiday Village is just $45/vehicle* when purchased at the gate and $35/vehicle* when purchased in advance online. Magical Nights of Lights and Holiday Village operates from 5pm – 10pm nightly from November 17 – January 3.

The Ice Rink @ North Georgia is a seasonal outdoor ice rink at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, GA open from Nov 17 – Jan 5.

Christmas in Castille – Opens November 30! The light show runs Thursday – Saturdays from 6-9pm until December 23rd. Turn your radio dial to 89.9 and enjoy the Christmas lights on this magical street. 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA. The light show is free and they are taking donations for a local charity through the West Forsyth DECA Club.

Kinsey Family Farm – Our Christmas festivities, including wagon rides, hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting, Christmas tree picking and general merriment, have begun! If you would like some quality time with your family please feel free to come out and join us! The 2017 Christmas season will be in operation from Saturday, November 18th until December 20th. Due to our desire to celebrate the holidays with our own families we will not be open on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Eve.

9:00 am – 1:00 pm – Electronics Recycling Event – Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) invites residents to recycle their unused paint and old electronics during the upcoming paint and electronics recycling event, held every fall and spring. This fall’s recycling event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cumming Fairgrounds’ parking lot 3 off of Castleberry Road.

9:00 am – 3:00 pm – First Baptist Cumming Fall Bazaar. Unique Christmas and gift items, artwork, antiques. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. $1.00 admission. Bake sale.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Home Depot Kids Workshop – Build a Veterans Day Toy Helicopter. Join our hands-on workshop in honor of Veterans Day, and you and your child can build a toy helicopter with turning blades! Once the toy helicopter is built, your child can decorate it with paint & stickers to create a mini-military vehicle.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels KIDS CLUB: Make a yarn hot cocoa mug! Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join the fun!

10:00 am – 2:00 pm – Abba House Fall Fest – Abba House will host an entirely free Fall Festival to give back for all of the support that they have received through their 16 years in the North Georgia community. It is a chance for you to enjoy lunch, music, carnival games, snacks, and activities for children and adults all while bringing awareness of the ministry that Abba House does and to their 25,000 square foot 400 North Thrift Store location. It is also a chance to raise funds for the women and children of Abba House. This is our fourth year hosting this event, and we can tell you, it is not your average fall festival. You will not be disappointed! All you have to do to participate is gather up your family and show up for a day of free fun. Abba House’s 400 North Thrift Store is located just over three miles north of the outlet mall on GA-400 and GA-136. We can’t wait to see you all!

12:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Vickery Village Craft Fair at Glen Willow Park on Low County Rd in Cumming . Enjoy an afternoon of fun, crafts and food in our beautiful Glen Willow Park. Vickery has over 20 vendors who will be displaying and selling goods. If you are looking for a special gift or something for yourself, you are sure to find it . From handmade jewelry and purses to monogrammed anything, antiques, refurbished wood pieces, children’s books and clothing, or housewares just to name a few of the items the vendors will have. Stop by a booth and learn how to clean without chemical or learn about self defense and if your thinking about a Disney Vacation visit the Disney planners booth . There will be a food tent so join us for lunch , and take home a treat from the bake sale. Follow the signs off Post Rd in Cumming and enjoy a day in the park!

9:00 am – 1:00 pm – Family Promise Festival and Bed Race – The Bed Race & Festival will be held on Saturday, November 7th, at the Forsyth Central High School From 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Participants can arrive as early as 7:00 AM for setup. Visitors can vote (with their dollars) for the most original, and funniest beds. At 10:00 AM the actual races will begin and the skill and speed of the participants will determine the fastest entries. The money raised by each team will determine coveted Merit Award for Fundraising. Between the races and the judging of beds, visitors are encouraged to visit the various booths and help individual groups raise money. Those booths will also be eligible for prizes based on originality and fundraising achievements.

1:00 pm – Cumming Library – Winged Ambassadors Birds of Prey – Meet hawks, owls, and falcons in this outside show where you’ll see the birds’ flying techniques.  Learn educational facts and interesting details about each bird, including learning about their unique personalities! All ages welcome and registration is not required. Note:  Weather permitting, this show will be held outdoors.

9:00 am – 4:00 pm – CORE Missions Summer Bazaar – Come join us at our first annual Summer Bazaar. We will have will have a variety of vendors selling different items from make up to jewelry. 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Fowler Park – Bicycle Rodeo – safe kids afternoon in the park. It’s an early release day for Forsyth County Schools! Safe Kids Forsyth will be hosting Afternoon in the Park at Fowler Park from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Main Playground. Bring your bikes and safety helmets for an afternoon of fun activities! In the event of rain, we will be relocating to the large pavilion.

Come meet our horses and our volunteers and learn more about the Original Barn Buddy Program – Where Children and Horses Heal together! The Barn Buddy program’s mission is to facilitate special connections between rescued horses and children that have been adopted or are currently in foster care in a physically and emotionally safe environment. The Barn Buddy program is located at Save the Horses where horses are being rescued, nursed back to health, worked with and eventually adopted out to loving homes. This environment allows for children to develop a bond with an animal they can relate to while making meaning of their own foster/adoption story.
