Pi, a transcendental number, is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter. Pi Day Race has an innovative twist! While many 5K runs are 3.1 miles, the Pi Day 5-K will be a 3.14 mile run/walk. We are encouraging schools, universities, businesses, and families to come out to run/walk together to support and foster excitement about mathematics and science education. A portion of race proceeds will be used to buy equipment for special needs classrooms in Forsyth County.
