Retail Roundup in Cumming, GA for September 2014

Aldi Cumming GANew grocery stores, markets and a membership warehouse are coming to Forsyth County, GA. I am excited to have more choices as we have food allergies and need special food items.

Costco opened on Friday, August 29, 2014 off of Bald Ridge Marina Road in Cumming, GA. I went to the grand opening. It is a large, spectacular warehouse. It was crowded and there were lots of samples to be found! All registers were open and the waiting time was minimal. The customer service was excellent. They have lots of specialty areas in addition to their warehouse goods including a gas station, bakery, meat and produce, optical department, photo center and pharmacy.

Aldi opens on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm at 1760 Buford Highway in Cumming, GA. The grand opening will have lots of specials. ALDI keeps costs down by offering a smaller assortment of high moving items, charging $.25 for cart rental (you get it back upon cart return) and you need to bring your own grocery bags. They have their own name brand items and they accept cash, debit and EBT cards only.

Sprouts Farmers Market – Johns Creek. Sprouts is an Arizona-based farmers market chain. They are opening their Johns Creek location on September 17, 2014. (The Cumming location at Exit 14 at GA 400 – Lakeland Plaza will open in 2015.) Sprouts is a healthy grocery store offering fresh, natural and organic foods at great prices. Since 2002, they’ve been committed to providing our customers with the best-in-class service—and to improving it every day.
