Located in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains, the city of Cumming and their wonderful fairground facility is the host of this 2-day BBQ event benefiting three local charities.

With a variety of different food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, product demonstrations, live entertainment, and a kids zone that will contain a huge variety of fun for the kids and at the heart, of course, the KCBS sanctioned bbq cook-off that will include an opportunity for you to taste championship Que and decide for yourself just which is the best. There’s sure to be something for everyone!

For 2014 We have not designated any specific benefiting organizations in hopes the impact of The national BBQ Cup will be more wide spread to help more organizations in 2014 and for many years to come. Bald Ridge Lodge, Inc., is a non-profit Stabilization and Assessment Center for boys located in Forsyth County, Georgia which serves boys ages 12-17. We serve those who are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services or referred by the local Juvenile Court. more Info

Each day adolescent women from across the greater Atlanta-area are brought together at Jesse’s House to find something they are missing – understanding and support through a loving environment. More Info

Located 40 miles north of Atlanta nestled up to Lake Lanier, the Taste of Forsyth is a community event with music, a kids zone, local entertainment, a puppet show, touch-a-truck, Easter Egg Hunt and much more.

The 10th annual Taste of Forsyth descends on the Cumming Fairgrounds this Saturday, March 30 from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm. Come out and sample tasty dishes from over 25 local Forsyth County restaurants and enjoy entertainment, a kids zone, touch a truck, an easter egg hunt sponsored by Automation Direct and much more.

Created by a Forsyth County mom and dad, this family event offers two days filled with tips, products, services, resources and information that parents of babies to teens need and want for their families. There is also plenty of onsite fun for the whole family … kids are very welcome. The weekend wraps up with a Sunday afternoon concert from Laughing Pizza.

From parenting workshops and presentations to the parenting expo and family concert from Laughing Pizza, there is something for everyone at this conference. Kids are welcome and there is a fun kids zone and kids mini-conference during the event.

Flavors of Forsyth on May 19 at The Avenues Forsyth

Join Forsyth’s finest restaurants for a good cause this Thursday May 19, 2011 at the Flavors of Forsyth. Featuring a kids zone, live entertainment from Last Five Standing, artists market and samples from over 30 local restaurants, Flavors of Forsyth is a festival of food to benefit the United Way of Forsyth County. The fun starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm.

The kids zone will be expanded this year and in addition to bounce houses and kids activities there will be a Georgia Aquarium 75′ x 45′ interactive exhibit.

Food and drinks will range from $.50 – $3.00 per sample and tickets may be purchased on site the evening of the event. Admission is free.

Local chefs will participate in contests for best entrees and there is a People’s Choice award that the attendees will vote on.
