The Ice Rink @ North Georgia is a seasonal outdoor ice rink at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, GA open from Nov 17 – Jan 5.

Christmas in Castille – Opens November 30! The light show runs Thursday – Saturdays from 6-9pm until December 23rd. Turn your radio dial to 89.9 and enjoy the Christmas lights on this magical street. 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA. The light show is free and they are taking donations for a local charity through the West Forsyth DECA Club.

Christmas Light Shows Around Forsyth County and Cumming, GA for 2017

Christmas Light Shows in Cumming, GAIt’s holiday festivity time, and with it comes light shows! Pack the kids in the car, brew some hot chocolate and enjoy an evening drive of viewing Christmas lights.

Here are local Christmas light shows in and around Forsyth County, GA for the 2017 holiday season!

The Christmas in Castille light show is located at 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA 30004. The show starts at 6 PM and runs until 9 PM on Thursdays – Saturdays through Dec 23rd. The neighborhood is gated so when the gates close for the night, the show ends. When you drive up, tune your radio to 89.9FM. Check out their FB page for updates and weather alerts.

Lanier Islands Christmas – nightly – 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Get ready to be amazed by one of the best holiday light displays in the southeast. Drive through miles of dazzling lights and experience the joy of the season here at Lanier Islands! For a quarter century Lanier Islands has been the ultimate place to visit near Atlanta for holiday light displays.

For those unfamiliar with Magical Lights, it is 7 miles of lighting extravaganza that winds along the Lanier Islands’ roadways. Starting at the animated Carousel, down through the Toy Soldiers, up past the illuminated diamond wonder light, under the snowflake bridge, then all the way to Santa’s Workshop, the Christmas Carnival and more!

Sunday, December 17 at 7:00 pm – Ashebrooke Night of Lights: Ashebrooke Subdivisions – Bethelview Road (between Kelly Mill and Hwy 20.) Visit Ashebrooke Subdivision for the 11th annual “Night of Lights” –  the residents of Ashebrooke light up their streets and their homes with luminary bags & candles to put on a great display of lights in an effort to help raise money for a worthy cause.  5005 Luke Dr, Cumming GA 30040

Dawson Junction Subdivision – nightly through December 25 – 121 Switchman Lane, Dawsonville GA 30534. Sun – Thur 5:30- 10pm and Friday & Saturday 5:30 – 11pm. Tune your radio station to 107.7 to make the light show start.

Happy House in Cumming, 5455 Young Deer Dr Cumming GA 30041. The Christmas lights are on daily from 6pm until 10pm from now til January 1. Happy House has 100,000 + lights and named Happy House by the children in the neighborhood. No fancy music or wild flashing lights more like an Old Fashioned Christmas enjoyed by young and old.

Canton Christmas Light Show

Holiday Lights at Veterans Park, 7345 Cumming Highway, Canton, GA 30115. The new park in Cherokee Co. on Highway 20 North side just outside Forsyth has an unbelievable one million lights display. It’s $20 a car load! Nightly at 6:00 pm through January 6, 2018.

iRun BYOT – Forsyth County Schools and the Forsyth BYOT Benefit are partnering to hold the second annual iRun, a 5K race and Fun Run.  The run will take place on October 7 at Shiloh Point Elementary with the 5K starting at 8:00 am and the Fun Run at 9:00 am.  The funds raised from this event will help to provide home internet access and computing devices for students throughout our district.  There is a competition among schools to see which has the most participation.  Register or donate to help our school win!

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels Kids Club Event: Make a Sprout character canvas! Let the kids craft while you shop, and then they get to take their creativity home with them! Just $2 per 30-minute session – including supplies. Ages 3 & up welcome!

This years’ design features some of Georgia’s happy wildlife neslted into their forest home! Uncle Shuck’s Maze is a 12 acre field of corn that has approximately 4 miles of trails, twisting and turning, and sometimes, coming to a deadend! Opening weekend is Sept. 9-10, 2017, come and kick off this year’s fall season. 6:00 pm – Forsyth Central High School Softball Pink Out Tournament at Central Park. Each year the Forsyth Central High School Softball Team hosts a benefit Pink Out tournament for the Northside Hospital Cancer Center. This year the tournament is being held at Central Park on Friday September 8 and Saturday September 9. Friday games begin at 6:00 pm on Fields 2-3 and Saturday games begin at 9:00 am on Fields 4-7. Admission is $5.00. Fourteen high school feeder teams will play in the tournament. Nutcracker Auditions

Sawnee Ballet Theatre is holding open auditions for its 26th annual production of the Nutcracker on Saturday, August 26 at Sawnee School of Ballet. All dancers age 2nd grade and up with at least one year of dance experience are welcome to audition. Roles being cast include: party children, maids, mice, soldiers, fairies,angels, lambs, and more!

10:00 am – 11:00 am: 2nd to 4th grade dancers
11:30 am – 12:30 pm: 5th to 6th grade dancers
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: 7th grade and up

Audition Fee: $15
