Veterans Day Ceremony at the Veterans War Memorial in Cumming, GA on November 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy the music of the Flash of Crimson Band. The City of Cumming Mayor Gravitt will speak.

2015 Veterans’ Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 – Downtown Dawsonville, Presented by: Veterans Affairs of Dawson County.

Veterans Affairs of Dawson County will celebrate Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11 with lunch for Veterans at 1:00 p.m., Dawson County Middle School Cafeteria, Program at 2:00 in the school auditorium and parade through Downtown Dawsonville at 3:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to the program and parade.   • Free Admission to World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta – Members of the Armed Forces (active duty and veterans) get free admission to the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta when they show their valid Armed Forces ID card. Through November 15, half-price tickets can also be purchased for friends and family.

8:00 am – H20 5k and Fun Run – North Forsyth Middle School  3845 Coal Mountain Dr Cumming, GA 30040. Simple Charity, a club run by NFHS students that has raised $36,000 for charity this school year, is hosting a 5k and one mile fun run for kids at NFHS to benefit Just One Africa and give clean water to people in Kenya! The event is on March 28th, but you have to register by March 20th to get a t-shirt. Sign in at 7:15, race begins at 8:00 am. Fun Run will begin at 9:00 am. Parking will be outside of the Performing Arts Center at North Forsyth High School.

9:00 am – 6:00 pm – Open House at Miracle Pottery. KIDS PAINT FREE DAY BEGINS AT 9:00 AM. Kids will be able to choose one FREE pottery item to paint and decorate. Allow your little one to use their creativity and get artsy! Drinks, coffee, and snack will be served! ADULT RAKU PARTY BEGINS AT 7:30 PM. TICKETS ARE $20.00 PER ADULT. Each person will get one FREE Strawberry Pot to paint and glaze. After decorating, we will watch our pots as they are firing! North Forsyth High School Drama department will be showing The Little Mermaid Jr this week! Tickets for the show are $7 and $10 reserved. The Wednesday performance has limited seats left. Lake Lanier Islands – Annual Magical Nights of Lights. Visit nightly beginning Friday, November 15 at 5 p.m. through December 31st (Open Late!) Daily admission to Magical Nights of Lights includes the drive through their sparkling light tour, as well as access to Holiday Village, located at the end of the tour.  Also included with daily admission is access to the live nativity (dates coming soon).  Admission is $60 per vehicle and is based on what the vehicle has the capacity to hold, not the number of passengers. Coupons are available at any of our partner locations: Publix, Chik-fil-A, McDonalds, QT, Audi & Lenny’s Sub Shop.
