12/7, 12/8, 12/9 – Miracle on 34th Street – Forsyth Central Stage – Here’s one for the troops. The performances of the 1940’s Radio Stage Play of Miracle on 34th Street are all dedicated to our troops stationed here and abroad. To say thank you for their service, we are asking the community coming to the show to donate suggested items that will be packaged and sent to the troops for the holidays. December 17 – Ashebrooke Subdivision Night of Lights – The 12th Annual Night of Lights is a festive way to spend an evening viewing luminaries and a live nativity scene. It is a great fundraiser and a fun holiday event. Located off Bethelview Rd between Kelly Mill and Hwy. 20 in Cumming, GA.
December 2 – December 23 – Santa at The Collection Forsyth
Bring your own camera to take pictures with Santa every Saturday and Sunday from December 2nd to December 23rd from 1pm to 5pm. Santa will be at Shop 360 (In between Origins and Lane Bryant). Click here for more information. 
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides at The Collection Forsyth run December 2nd – December 17, 1-5pm. Enjoy a holiday tradition for locals and guests alike. These cozy, horse-drawn carriage rides through The Collection are the perfect way to enjoy the lights, sights, and sounds of Christmas at The Collection with your family and friends!
Nov. 17, 2017 – Jan. 3, 2018: Magical Nights of Lights 25th Anniversary at Lanier Islands – Drive through larger-than-life holiday light displays at Lanier Islands while you hear songs of the season on your radio or smartphone. Enhance the experience with the companion app, and stop at the Holiday Village to visit Santa, shop for gifts, and ride carnival rides. Admission to the 25th Anniversary of Magical Nights of Lights and Holiday Village is just $45/vehicle* when purchased at the gate and $35/vehicle* when purchased in advance online. Magical Nights of Lights and Holiday Village operates from 5pm – 10pm nightly from November 17 – January 3.

The Ice Rink @ North Georgia is a seasonal outdoor ice rink at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, GA open from Nov 17 – Jan 5.

Christmas in Castille – Opens November 30! The light show runs Thursday – Saturdays from 6-9pm until December 23rd. Turn your radio dial to 89.9 and enjoy the Christmas lights on this magical street. 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA. The light show is free and they are taking donations for a local charity through the West Forsyth DECA Club.

Santa will be visiting Saturday, December 9th  11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Fresh homemade wreaths, mailbox swags, and Christmas Bows are made daily and also available for sale. Also at BTF, we have hayrides, available on the weekends, hot apple cider, petting zoo, kids play zone, fresh made jams and jellies, Santa Claus (see website for certain dates), bon-fire, and many other fun activities.

Kinsey Family Farm – Our Christmas festivities, including wagon rides, hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting, Christmas tree picking and general merriment, have begun! If you would like some quality time with your family please feel free to come out and join us! The 2017 Christmas season will be in operation from Saturday, November 18th until December 20th. Due to our desire to celebrate the holidays with our own families we will not be open on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Eve.

11:15 am – ‘Tis the Season for Stories storytime at Hampton Park Library. Enjoy seasonal stories, holiday songs and a festive puppet show.

5:30 pm – Barnes & Noble at The Avenue Forsyth –  Special Event. Big Creek Elementary Holiday Musical Performance and Book Fair.

5:00 pm – Baby, It’s Cold Outside – Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Rd, Cumming, GA. Music Authority and The Forsyth Community Chorale present, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”  This holiday concert will feature the music of the season as the Chorale and the Music Authority Ensembles (Jazz, Guitar, and Percussion) all strut their stuff for a family friendly evening of fun and music. Admission is free, and we are collecting canned goods to help the hungry this holiday season.

I went a few years ago and my daughter and I loved it. I was very impressed with the professional production and I can’t wait to go this year.

At a Christmas party hosted by the Silverhaus family, Clara receives a nutcracker in the shape of a toy soldier from Herr Drosselmeyer. After the party, Clara has an incredible dream where magical things happen! A battle rages between huge mice and the Nutcracker’s toy soldiers. When Clara saves the Nutcracker’s life, an evil spell is broken, and he turns into a handsome Prince. Clara and the Prince journey to the Land of Sweets where dancers from around the world perform for Clara to honor her for her bravery.
