Nov. 17, 2017 – Jan. 3, 2018: Magical Nights of Lights 25th Anniversary at Lanier Islands – Drive through larger-than-life holiday light displays at Lanier Islands while you hear songs of the season on your radio or smartphone. Enhance the experience with the companion app, and stop at the Holiday Village to visit Santa, shop for gifts, and ride carnival rides. The Ice Rink @ North Georgia is a seasonal outdoor ice rink at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, GA open from Nov 17 – Jan 5.

Christmas in Castille – Opens November 30! The light show runs Thursday – Saturdays from 6-9pm until December 23rd. Turn your radio dial to 89.9 and enjoy the Christmas lights on this magical street. 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA. The light show is free and they are taking donations for a local charity through the West Forsyth DECA Club.

Kinsey Family Farm – Our Christmas festivities, including wagon rides, hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting, Christmas tree picking and general merriment, have begun! If you would like some quality time with your family please feel free to come out and join us! The 2017 Christmas season will be in operation from Saturday, November 18th until December 20th. Due to our desire to celebrate the holidays with our own families we will not be open on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Eve.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – The Place of Forsyth Fundraiser with LuLaRoe – Windermere Clubhouse – Join SIX LuLaRoe Consultants for a fundraiser for The Place of Forsyth County, Inc. We will each have our entire inventories for your to peruse, all while supporting a great cause!! There will be raffles and giveaways. You will not want to miss this event! The Place of Forsyth serves the community with financial emergency assistance, clothing, food, and many additional support services. They also provide a workforce development initiative in conjunction with several local agencies to help the under employed and unemployed prepare for, and secure, jobs. The Place also embraced an 8 year old service, Focus on Forsyth, which helps needy households through referrals from schools and senior centers. Through their services to the community, they are changing lives in Forsyth County, Georgia.

Pick strawberries at Warbington Farms! The 2017 strawberry season is in full swing!  Strawberry season usually runs till second week of June. Price is $14 (plus tax) for U-Pick and $16 (plus tax) for Pre-Picked. We provide the buckets and do not allow outside containers in the field. Please keep in mind that we do close the field for inclement weather. Berry picking is based on availability and we close the fields once the berries are picked out for the day.

Beginning August 4 until September 5, the hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Mondays the spray pad is closed for maintenance, and on Sundays the venue is available for private rentals only. Daily admission for the spray pad is $2 per person (one year old and up). Annual individual passes are available for $30 and annual family passes are available for $60. Private rentals are $200 and include exclusive use of the spray pad and pavilion for two hours.

9:00 am – 1:00 pm – Recycle Electronics Event at the Cumming Fairgrounds Parking Lot 3 off Castleberry Road. Keep Forsyth County Beautiful invites residents to make a positive impact on the environment by recycling their old, used electronics during the upcoming electronics recycling event. Accepted items for recycling include laptops, stereos, CD players, cell phones, printers, gaming consoles and controllers, fax machines and more. The minimum donation per carload drop-off is $5 while an additional $20 fee will apply for each television and an additional $5 fee will apply for each computer monitor.

11:15 am – Post Road Library – Fire Safety Event. Join the Forsyth County Fire Department to teach your kids how to be safe around fires and learn what to do if there is a fire in your home. After the presentation, kids can make crafts and check out a real fire truck outside! For preschool and elementary children. No registration required.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Rivers Alive Cleanup. Keep Forsyth County Beautiful seeks volunteers for waterway cleanup event. Make a positive impact on local waterways by joining Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) for the 2014 Rivers Alive Cleanup on Saturday, October 18, at 9 a.m. KFCB encourages families, co-workers, scout troops and organizations to volunteer for the annual waterway cleanup event. Volunteer teams can register for the event by calling KFCB at 770.205.4573 or by clicking on the volunteer tab at www.keepforsythcountybeautiful.org. Volunteers will meet at Mary Alice Park (1820 Mary Alice Park Road in Cumming) at 9 a.m. on October 18 to gather supplies. Volunteers will proceed to clean as many lake, river and wetland locations as possible before returning to Mary Alice Park for lunch.

Cumming Greek Festival Oct. 17 – 19  Friday from 3 – 10 pm, Saturday from 11 am – 10 pm, Sunday from 11:30 am – 6 pm. Adults $1, children 12 and under are free. This is our 10th Anniversary! Come and dance and yell “OPA” with us on our 16 acre property off Bethelview Road in Cumming GA. The Cumming Greek festival is Forsyth county’s largest ethnic event and will last for 3 days. It offers the community a unique opportunity to experience the rich Greek culture.
