12/7, 12/8, 12/9 – Miracle on 34th Street – Forsyth Central Stage – Here’s one for the troops. The performances of the 1940’s Radio Stage Play of Miracle on 34th Street are all dedicated to our troops stationed here and abroad. To say thank you for their service, we are asking the community coming to the show to donate suggested items that will be packaged and sent to the troops for the holidays. The Ice Rink @ North Georgia is a seasonal outdoor ice rink at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, GA open from Nov 17 – Jan 5.

Christmas in Castille – Opens November 30! The light show runs Thursday – Saturdays from 6-9pm until December 23rd. Turn your radio dial to 89.9 and enjoy the Christmas lights on this magical street. 4220 Tivoli Way, Alpharetta, GA. The light show is free and they are taking donations for a local charity through the West Forsyth DECA Club.

Kinsey Family Farm – Our Christmas festivities, including wagon rides, hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting, Christmas tree picking and general merriment, have begun! If you would like some quality time with your family please feel free to come out and join us! The 2017 Christmas season will be in operation from Saturday, November 18th until December 20th. Due to our desire to celebrate the holidays with our own families we will not be open on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Eve.

These guys are going to a great effort to perform, lets show our appreciation with our attendance. Sawnee Ballet Theatre Performs The Nutcracker at SFHS from December 19 – 22, 2013

sawnee ballet theatreOne of our favorite things to do each year during the holidays is to see The Nutcracker. The Sawnee Ballet Theatre puts on a wonderful performance right here in Forsyth County, Georgia. The Nutcracker will be performed at South Forsyth High School from December 19 – 22, 2013.

The Nutcracker, set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious music, is a heartwarming holiday tradition for every member of the family.

You will be dazzled by a Christmas tree that grows larger than life, a lively battle between soldiers and mice, snow that falls and much more. Sawnee Ballet Theatre’s production of this enchanting full-length ballet brings the magical characters in Clara’s dream to life.

Each year, Artistic Director Joan Kall Stewart brings something new to the performance, and this year is no exception!

The Nutcracker will be performed at South Forsyth High School auditorium and performance dates are Thursday, December 19th through Sunday, December 22nd.  Tickets for adults are $20 and admission for kids 12 and under is $15.00. For more information call (770) 887-0756.

National Dance Day Activities at CFUMC

July 22-27, Various Times at Cumming First United Methodist Church. CFUMC is bringing the dance studios of Forsyth County together to help celebrate National Day on Saturday July 27 with multiple dance activities taking place throughout the week leading up to Saturday.

On Monday – Friday, from 4:30-8 p.m., each studio will be offering introductory sessions to multiple types of dance – jazz, Broadway, contemporary, hip-hop and more.  These classes will be free and available to multiple age levels.

On Saturday, July 27, We gather to practice the “Everybody Dance Routine” at 9 and film at 10.  Then practice the “Hip Hop Routine” at 11 and film at 12.  Come to either or both!

Get moving and get your dance on!
