10:00 am – Lowe’s Build and Grow – Build a spooky stacker! Halloween is right around the corner! Your child will love this Halloween inspired Spooky Stacker Game!

10:00 am – 11:30 am – Michaels Kids Club – Bandana Mask Event. Create a fast and easy disguise for Halloween! Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00am – 11:30pm. See a store associate to join the fun!

11:30 am – 4:00 pm – Annual Hay Day to benefit the Save The Horses Rescue Farm of Cumming, Georgia. From 11:30am-4pm, join us at the Save The Horses rescue farm at 1768 Newt Green Road, Cumming, GA, for great family fun! Meet and mingle with the horses, donkeys, farm animals and our newest Cow named Rosie! There will be fun activities for kids of all ages, including face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, and hay rides.
12:30 pm – 9:00 pm – Cumming Country Fair and Festival – Cumming Fairgrounds. Last day of the fair! American Bullriders Tour at 6:00 pm. Free student admission and rides with coupon (18 and under) – 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm. Bring 7 non-perishable canned goods and receive one free adult admission benefiting Feed the Hungry Forsyth.

Pumpkin Palooza at Warbington Farms! Go for a hayride, have fun in the Farm park, visit the petting zoo, pick the pumpkin for the front porch. We will also have vendors every weekend from now until the 27th of October. Such as Origami Owl, Paparazzi jewelry, Hand made children’s items, wreaths by “Hang this wreath” Monogram shirts, much more. Hope to see you there! Kinsey Family Farm and the pumpkin patch at Cumming First United Methodist Church is open for pumpkin picking season!


It is the start of apple season and the orchards are opening!  Here is a directory of apple orchards and festivals in North Georgia. There are also corn mazes opening from Buford to Uncle Shuck’s to the North Georgia corn maze! Cagle’s Family FarmWarbington Farms and Kinsey Family Farm are also a fun-filled place to visit – check their websites for opening dates.

Hillcrest Orchards apple pickin’ jubilee runs every weekend through October. This is the only time that you can pick your own apples at this orchard. Pick your fun at the annual “Apple Pickin’ Jubilee” where you can pick your own apples, milk a cow, watch live pig races, walk a nature trail, visit the petting farm ($3.00 per person), take a wagon ride through the orchard, visit the Moonshine Museum and watch live bands and cloggers on the Hillcrest Stage. Hillcrest Orchards is open daily: 9:00am – 6:00pm (Sept. – Oct.) 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Nov.) Cagle’s Family Farm in Canton, GA opens Labor Day weekend! Fall fun at the farm starts this weekend. Enjoy their 13th annual corn maze and lots of kid friendly activities. There is also a haunted barn opening Oct. 4 – Nov. 2 for older folks. Open weekends from August 30 through November 17th. Hours are as follows:

Octoberfest at the Gasthaus! Open All Sundays in October!! From 2pm to 5PM for a “German Picnic” Bratwurst, Knockwurst, German Potato Salad, Spatzel, Pretzels and the like. From 5pm to 9pm our regular dinner menu. Also Sunday Entertainment by Sherri and Larry a great duet that plays traditional German Music.

Burt’s Pumpkin Farm – 5 Burt’s Farm Rd Dawsonville, Georgia 30534. Hours will be from 9:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. Admission is free. The hayrides will be weekends only until October then the hayrides will be 7 days a week. Hayride cost: Adults $5.00, Kids 12 & under $4.00, infants 12 months and under free.
