Saturday, November 11

8:30 am – 1:30 pm – Annual Christmas Bazaar at Cumming First United Methodist Church. Join us in the Family Life Center for this awesome event! There will be a huge variety of quality handmade gifts for you to purchase.  Join us in the Family Life Center for the 2017 Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 11th from 8:30 am-1:30 pm. There will be quality hand-made gifts for sale. It’s a great place to get your Christmas shopping done. There will also be a Children’s Shop, Bake Sale, and Breakfast with Santa. 9:00 am – Hampton Park Library – Special Needs Library Hour & Sensory Storytime

9:00 am – 6:00 pm – The Christmas Arts & Crafts Festival at Lanier Tech is the largest indoor/outdoor arts and crafts festival in Forsyth County, with over 100+ vendors; it has become an established community event with local residents. Children will have the opportunity to play in two Moonwalks (weather permitting) and help raise funds for Relay for Life -Forsyth; Shop for gifts in the Elf Corner, a special shop where only kids can shop! Elves will help them choose gifts for friends and family; gift wrapping included. Parents can capture their children’s special visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus using their own cameras for a small donation. Food trucks, and food vendors will be available outside, along with numerous non-profit organizations that SAA is hosting as part of our community outreach program. 10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels Kids Club Event: Make craft stick ornaments! Let the kids craft while you shop, and then they get to take their creativity home with them! Just $2 per 30-minute session – including supplies. Ages 3 & up welcome!

11:00 am – Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth – Story time – From the author of the bestselling book Too Many Carrots, this charming picture book features the fun of winter and the heartwarming benefits of friendship. Will Tortoise sleep through another winter, or will his friends convince him to stay awake and experience the frosty fun? Find out at Storytime, with activities to follow.

11:15 am – Post Road Library  Saturday Family Storytime at Post

7:00 pm – 10:00 pm – VFW Post 9143 Saturday Night Bingo – Post 9143 Hosts BINGO Every Saturday (Except for certain holidays). First call is promptly at 7 pm. No Smoking in the Building! No Children under 6 permitted. Minors between 6 and 18 must be with Parent or legal Guardian. Concessions available! Celebrate Veteran’s Day with a few of our nation’s finest with Bingo night!

3:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Hoops for Horses at Save the Horses – Sophia wants to do something BIG for her 10th birthday to help make the world a better place. She decided to combine her love of horses, basketball and hoola-hoops to raise money for Save The Horses. This is an amazing organization that rescues abused, abandoned and neglected horses and other animals. Will you join on Sunday, November 12th for Sophia’s Hoops for Horses event? She has an afternoon of fun planned, including horseback riding, barn tours, a petting zoo, hoola-hoop dancing, a raffle and more! Tickets for activities and snacks will be sold at the event and will benefit Save The Horses. All activities will range from $1 – $5. 6:00 pm – Forsyth Central High School Softball Pink Out Tournament at Central Park. Each year the Forsyth Central High School Softball Team hosts a benefit Pink Out tournament for the Northside Hospital Cancer Center. This year the tournament is being held at Central Park on Friday September 8 and Saturday September 9. Friday games begin at 6:00 pm on Fields 2-3 and Saturday games begin at 9:00 am on Fields 4-7. Admission is $5.00. Fourteen high school feeder teams will play in the tournament. In addition to playing some great softball for a worthy cause, the team is also selling Pink Out T-shirts, raffle tickets and will have a silent auction.

Saturday, September 9

6:30 am – 10:30 am – Cumming Farmers Market is open at the Cumming Fairgrounds parking lot on Castleberry Road in Cumming, GA. Please visit their Facebook page to get more information about locally produced vegetables, meat, baked goods, honey, soaps, flowers, art, woodworking and so much more! Open Saturdays and Wednesdays during the summer season.

Opening Weekend – Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze sponsored by the Georgia Foresty Association. This years’ design features some of Georgia’s happy wildlife neslted into their forest home! Uncle Shuck’s Maze is a 12 acre field of corn that has approximately 4 miles of trails, twisting and turning, and sometimes, coming to a deadend! Opening weekend is Sept. 9-10, 2017, come and kick off this year’s fall season. The corn maze and fall fun will be OPEN:
