That is what you will find at the Bill Thomas Raceway located at the Cumming Fairgrounds, home of the North Georgia Quarter Midget Racing Association (NGQMA). Saturdays between March and November, you will find boys and girls, ages 5-16, take to the track, pedal to the metal. 11:15 – 11:45 am – Preschool Pals at the Hampton Park Library. Share the fun of reading with your children ages 3-5 years! We’ll explore stories and activities to encourage children along a lifelong path of reading and learning. Hear stories, sing songs, and develop the skills needed to become a successful reader. Preschool Pals programs are for children ages 3-5 and their parents or caregivers. Advance registration is not required for this program.

12:00 pm – 4:00 pm “Cars For Canines” fundraiser returns in the parking lot at Rucker Pet and Wild Bird at 5456 Bethelview Road, Cumming, GA 30040. The festivities include a car show, pet adoptions, great food and a silent auction.
Forsyth Firefighters Fundraiser:
Beginning this Saturday, May 5 and the following two Saturdays, May 12 and 19, motorists can expect to see local firefighters at intersections throughout the county collecting donations. The annual ‘Give Burns the Boot’ kicks off this weekend in Forsyth County and across Georgia.
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful invites everyone to continue their spring cleaning by recycling their old, unused electronics during the “E-Recycle” event on Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cumming Fairgrounds’ parking lot 3 off of Castleberry Road. Accepted items for recycling include laptops, stereos, CD players, cell phones, microwaves, cameras and more. The minimum donation per carload drop-off is $5 while an additional $10 fee will apply for all televisions.
