October 22 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Forsyth County Trunk or Treat Safety Event at the Cumming Fairgrounds. Bring the whole family and have fun while learning how to stay safe this Halloween during the seventh annual Trunk or Treat Safety Event. The family-friendly event will be held at the Cumming Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is one family-sized bag of candy per family. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to Trunk or Treat, which will feature a variety of fun activities and games. There will also be information on costume safety, pedestrian safety, stranger danger, stop-drop-roll demonstrations and more.

October 23, 2016 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Castleberry Road Baptist Church Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat – Please mark your calendars for our Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat we are hosting for our community.  We will have an evening of family fun and excitement as we bring in multiple bouncy houses, games, food, and fun for the entire family. October 29 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Fall festival at First Baptist Cumming. 1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA.

October 29 – 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Trick-or-Treat on the Farm at Warbington Farms. Bring the family out for a “Spooktacular” day of Trick-or-Treating at the farm. Come trick-or-treat in a safe environment while enjoying a crisp fall day on the farm. Walk from trunk to trunk of vehicles filled with spooks and surprises! Plenty of candy for everyone! Event is free with fun park admission which also includes Corn Maze, hayride, petting zoo, jumbo pillow, corn crib, slides, swings & more activities. Fun Park admission is $10 per person. October 30 from 5:00 – 7:30 pm – Trunk or Treat at Vickery Village. ReThink Group will host their annual Trunk or Treat event for children in our community. Kids in costume and their parents are invited to join us starting at 5 pm on October 30th for Trunk or Treating at Vickery Village and other Halloween festivities.

HALLOWEEN BOO BASH October 29 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm – North Georgia Premium Outlets presents it’s first BOO BASH for kids 12 and under! Saturday, October 29 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. FREE Trick-or-Treating bags for kids 12 and under at Guest Services located in the Food Pavilion (while supplies last) Trick-or-Treating at participating stores. Check back for more tricks and treats to come for kids 12 and under. Please note, only kids 12 and under may wear masks.

Trunk or Treat Dawsonville October 31 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Rock Creek Park, Dawsonville, GA – Come out to Rock Creek on Halloween 4:00-7:00PM to trunk-or-treat with your family! The purpose of this event is to provide the children in the community with a safe place to trick-or-treat. Rock Creek is a well-lit area that provides plenty of parking, restrooms, and easy access! We will designate a specific area in the park for the trunk-or-treat and have it sectioned off so that vehicle traffic will not be permitted, providing a traffic-free area for the children. Admission is free and so are most of the activities; concessions/dinner will be available for purchase. CANDY, treats/toys, promotional items/freebies, carnival games, bounce house, hay rides, face painting, MORE CANDY! Sorry, no pets (service animals only, please).

Trick or Treat Dahlonega – Ghosts, goblins, witches, wizards and more will be wandering the streets of Downtown Dahlonega on October 31st, 2016 at Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega. This event, brought to the community by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants, provides a safe environment for parents to bring children trick or treating during daylight hours.

The event will take place on October 31st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, rain or shine. Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega is intended for children ages 12 and under and appropriate costumes are appreciated! For safety reasons, the roads will be closed and re-routed during the event.

11:00 AM – Cumming Library  Trick or Treat Storytime and Costume Parade – Celebrate the season with a special Trick-or-Treat Storytime.  We’ll read stories, sing songs, make a craft, and watch a puppet show!  After storytime, we’ll march in a parade, so be sure to wear your costume. This program is recommended for ages 2 – 5.  All ages welcome.  No registration is required.

This race is to benefit Jesse’s House and the Bald Ridge Lodge, two incredible places that help youths in need in Forsyth County. The races start at 8 AM on Saturday, October 31st at Fowler Park. Octoberfest! The Alpine Village of Helen is celebrating its European roots this month with nightly Oktoberfest activities. Activities will be from 6-10:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 6 p.m. to midnight Fridays, 1 p.m. to midnight. Saturdays and 1-7 p.m. Sundays at 1074 Edelweiss Strasse. Mountain Moonshine Festival – The 48th Annual Mountain Moonshine Festival and Car Show is in Dawsonville, GA this weekend. All proceeds support KARE for Kids, Inc., a non-profit organization in Dawson County. This event includes arts, crafts, food, music and activities for the entire family. The festival will run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in downtown Dawsonville.

Trunk or Treat on Oct.16th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at St. Brendan Catholic Church. SBCC’s Preschool will host their annual fundraiser event on Oct. 16th, 5:00-7:00pm. This event, brought to the community by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants, provides a safe environment for parents to bring children trick or treating during daylight hours.

The event will take place on Friday, October 31st from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, rain or shine. Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega is intended for children ages 12 and under and appropriate costumes are appreciated! For safety reasons, the roads will be closed and re-routed during the event.

Pumpkin Palooza at Warbington Farms! Go for a hayride, have fun in the Farm park, visit the petting zoo, pick the pumpkin for the front porch. We will also have vendors every weekend from now until the 27th of October. APPLE ORCHARDS / CORN MAZES / FARMS IN NORTH GEORGIA

It is the start of apple season and the orchards are opening!  Here is a directory of apple orchards and festivals in North Georgia. There are also corn mazes opening from Buford to Uncle Shuck’s to the North Georgia corn maze! Cagle’s Family FarmWarbington Farms and Kinsey Family Farm are also a fun-filled place to visit – check their websites for opening dates.

Hillcrest Orchards apple pickin’ jubilee runs every weekend through October. This is the only time that you can pick your own apples at this orchard. TRICK OR TREAT EVENTS NEAR FORSYTH COUNTY, GA

Trick or Treat Dahlonega – Ghosts, goblins, witches, wizards and more will be wandering the streets of Downtown Dahlonega on October 31st, 2013 at Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega. This event, brought to the community by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants, provides a safe environment for parents to bring children trick or treating during daylight hours. The event will take place on Thursday, October 31st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, rain or shine. Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega is intended for children ages 12 and under and appropriate costumumes are appreciated! For safety reasons, the roads will be closed and re-routed during the event.

Trunk or Treat Safety Event at Coal Mountain Park on October 26, 2013

Bring the whole family and have fun while learning how to stay safe this Halloween during the fourth annual Trunk or Treat Safety Event. The event will be held at Coal Mountain Park on Saturday, October 26, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. Admission is one bag of candy per family.

Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the family-friendly Trunk or Treat, which will feature a haunted maze, bean bag toss, face painting, clowns and other fun activities and games. There will also be information on costume safety, pedestrian safety, stranger danger, Stop-Drop-Roll demonstrations, and more.

“Trunk or Treat is a fun event, but is also an opportunity to share with families important safety information surrounding Halloween activities,” said Fire Chief Danny Bowman. “Forsyth County’s public safety personnel pride themselves on providing engaging ways to promote safety to our community’s youth.”

While safety remains the focus of the event, the Forsyth County Fire Department is also inviting local businesses and non-profit organizations to participate. Those desiring to participate must sign up by Friday, October 4. There are two ways to participate ­– by having a trunk, where candy is handed out to children from the decorated trunk of a vehicle, or by having a booth, where a free interactive activity or giveaway is available for children in attendance.
